An Atlas grabbing a machine gun that looks like AC 40, and starts unloading from door position. That would be cool.

Yup. Still not tired of watching this video. Have the devs been kind and let us know whose music was used?

Only a little okay I'll admit it, I can nearly recount all of some movies, or a lot of movies, seamlessly

1) The dropship in the picture has Marik Colours, I do believe.
2) I wrote Nominal, because as Paul mentions in another thread we couldn't get it in time for the video. Complicated.
3) You guys made me lose a bet it took you so long to figure out the Hunchback was a Swayback
4) We still <3 all of you. Except people who say 'first' ;)

"She also knew that two ASF fighters were holding a loose circle around them, hoping to intercept any incoming fighters."
"Missiles dropped all around her."
"'Command, we are on the ground and under fire!'"

So, what business does a Marik DropShip (or a someone else's DropShip pretending to be a Marik DropShip?! :D) have being on the opposite side of the (Lyran) Commonwealth from the League, dropping 'Mechs into a hostile situation? Are they attempting to take the world for themselves, or perhaps assisting the Combine in doing so under some agreement (backed by the Concord of Kapteyn, perhaps)? :(

The concept artist (FlyingDebris) randomly chose Marik. The video (and story) are something else.

Totally. That's why we can't have the music or anything. It's for the game.

Well, it's the only possible explanation of the Paul's talk about this being a lot closer to the game than we think.
I already asked him through message, but he's not online. :(

EDIT: He answered, try to quess the result. ;)

Nope THAT IS ALL IN GAME BABY!!! BOO YEAH

Go look at it again and take close attention to the textures. A CGI vid would have much more detail close up. The shins for example in the first few frames very much show that they are optimized for a further view distance vs up close. It is the beauty of the CryEngine 3. This, if you have a good end PC will be HOW you play this game. It is going to look so good I am going to die often because of getting distracted from the levels, Mechs and the pretty explosions.

Wrong. Check paul's thread in the general discussion area for confirmed things about the video. Short version - it is the game engine, that is the in game atlas, and that is the in game cockpit.

Edit: ninjaed.
