Centre view (TeamSpeak - Game - Map):

Is that map on the right monitor just a static map? Obviously you weren't in a game when you took the photo. I was wondering if it was possible, yet, to view the in-game (active) map on a secondary monitor?

Just static. And no ability to output anything from the game to a secondary monitor as far as I am aware.

Triple monitors works great though, Hud elements are all on the centre screen rather than spread out over 3 and field of view is expanded appropriately. I would highly recommend running ati eyefinity or nvidia surround if anyone has the space and wants immersion, You can see the edges of your cockpit windows in most cases, no need for freelook ever.

No change really. A couple of matching 22" screens will be coming in over the next week and will be mounted in a different manner. So sure. When that gets don't I'll post some updates. But A) she's basically done, and  it will be 99% the same. :-)

Some recent updates/current status:

And currently fitting a Saitek X52 Flight Control System. I would have liked a Logitec G940 so I could control everything from the Logitec software, but these are hard to find, and often expensive:

Howdy repete, glad to see an update to your pit. Cockpit's looking good man, and to date you are still the only other pit driver I've seen in-game. Sure wish the stupid *chat/throttle thing would get addressed, when I have to choose between driving or talking, I drive. ...check out my new mechpit if you haven't seen it yet.

I've bumped your simpit summary thread to get additions put in it in the past, but you seemed to have given up on it. If you don't mind, I would like to start a new one with the intention of keeping it up to date, using yours as a template. I feel these projects are important to keep visible, and it's nice to be able to link to share with others in a single post, but it's also important that the descriptions are accurate and up-to-date.

*Loc Nar: When will the controls be updated to allow the use of chat/scoreboard/battlegrid while using analog throttle?
A: It’s a technical limitation of the engine currently. We’re looking into a way to fix it.

Thanks!

Was looking at the mechpit summary thread, saw that the thread maker had his own pit :) ...

Very nice! As a fellow 'low budget pit builder' I totally respect that christmas-light setup you got going on with the control panel. That's really solid man, excellent work.

Holy crap! This looks insanely awesome!

I guess all you need now is a neurohelmet.. :)

Keep those updates coming please.

One suggestion though: If you're going through all that trouble of building the pit, why stick a cheap Saitek in there? A setup like this definetly deserves something like the Warthog or even a custom-built HOTAS-setup.
