For those of us with multiple screens, it would be nice for the game to have inbuilt, customisable multi-window/screen capability- IE, the option to have the centre screen display the game as normal, but instead of using keyboard or mouse controls to look out the left/right window as in MW4, have the left/right view be able to be viewed as seperate game windows (to be placed in the left/right screen). As far as I know this would need to be coded as part of the game itself to work.

Secondly, some people like to use multiple joysticks/mice- it would be good if in the control options there be the option to use and define controls for two seperate mice/joysticks- the players could then either set up one mouse/stick for one arm, and the other for the other arm, seperating the reticles and targeting for those arms. They then can set the seperate mice buttons to various different weapon groups (each weapon group firing at the reticle of the mouse it is assigned to)

I have only 2 monitors, I would like my primary one to be the main viewscreen and have as much HUD elements moved to my second one.

As I said, all they need to give is the option to configure it all into multiple windows and we can then put what we want where we want- some people will likely want to put their minimap onto a side screen.

This is a great idea. If someone has a graphics card that is powerfull enough to run Cry Engine 3 the default monitor capacity is 2. Only high end gaming systems with Eyefinity or an SLI/Crossfire have the capablity to run 3 screens so the redical stays in the centre or the screen when gaming. If MWO supported having a second screen for a left, right or systems window I can see a lot of people with a spare screen using this.

I remember a post where Paul was mentioning a play test on a triple monitor setup, so I think it will be supported.

The other stuff your talking about has not been confirmed yet, but others have raised it to the Dev's. I too am hoping they will make provision for it in the game either at launch or shortly after.

I've even been planning for a simpit, with additional smaller monitors to act as MFD's. Of course without the ability to take specific instrument displays and move them to a 7"-10" touch screen monitor, then it wont work quite like that.

But if your looking for multi-monitor support, I'm sure you will see this.

As for controller options, I'm looking forward to hearing what they have to say regarding that.

Supreme Commander had this. but you could only have mini map in second screen. OK the mini map can be zoomed into one area to watch a certin part of a base for a nuke launch or to follow a certin unit or group of units but it made a Massive differince.

It should be noted that what we need to request is the method that iRacing uses. Instead of using a single camera to span across the three monitors, it actually uses 3 different cameras, one for each monitor. This eliminates the "stretching" that occurs using the "easy" method of one camera due to the Field of View.

I believe widescreen resolutions (using Hori+) are native to CryEngine 3, but the method that would make it the best, multiple cameras, may be harder to implement. And harder on hardware, as you'd be rendering the game three times.

+1 on the option to have 3 camera views. I believe that would allow the displays to be spread out over an extended desktop, (vs an Eyefinity group that makes all three (or whatever) displays into one large virtual display. That could potentially enable multiple touchscreens to work, that wouldn't work properly in an Eyefinity group. Having seen the Atlas drop trailer, and the Hunchback cockpit images in the Media section... I think I'd prefer being able to use the touchscreens with the in-game provided displays, rather than trying to cobble something up in Helios. One can hope...

As a huge supporter of multiple monitors, I'd love this. However, my main interest would be putting the Tactical / command stuff on the second monitor, rather than just the right/left windows. My monitors are different sizes and arrayed in a format not useful for simple "side views" as neat as that is.

Since most video cards support dual monitors, I positively garunutee you many of the more hardcore CBT fans would hook up a second monitor for the purpose of always-visible tactical data.

The only thing I'm really praying for, is that I can use my saitek x52 pro with this game. I've been waiting years for a new MW game. :)

I seriously doubt you have anything to worry about there. The X-52 Pro is seen by Windows as a standard USB HID. As long as PGI makes the various control axis and commands available, at the worst you'd be able to setup an SST profile to get the job done. I suspect however that they will make a pretty good user interface right in the game for configuring that stuff right inside the game. [ SST might still be desirable though, if you want to make a chain-fire macro... :D ]

It'd be fun to be able to get a small touchscreen monitor and toss all the mfd stuff on it.

It would have to run Windows 8, I think, to be able to do that. Or unless someone figures out how to get Linux to do it as a virtual.

I'm a triple monitor user so I am REALLY crossing my fingers that this will be supported at launch (once you've gotten used to playing with 3 its really hard to go back, plus you typically sit further back from your center screen in a 3mon setup to let more of your peripheral into view so when you run a game on a single monitor your entire ergo setup isn't that great).

Seperately the idea of allowing other info screens to run as seperate windows would be awesome too...even better if you could combine both. i.e. toss a couple cheap monitors in portrait mode on the edges of your eyfinity3 setup and and use them for additional info. I honestly have never tried this but I THINK eyefinity would let you run additional monitors outside the eyefinity group...er...maybe?

I wonder if there will be an option to take a fixed forward camera to a secondary monitor, so you can still navigate while your torso is turned fully to the right/left.

Hadn't remembered that but it's true, part of why I don't want to play single screen games is the distance to the center screen is farther than I would normally have it. Come to think of it that extra distance probably counteracts any small advantage we get from the extended fov.

I'd love that option and/or the iracing panel arrangement but I think the most basic requirement is eyefinity/nvidia surround support with proper fov shifted resolutions for triple monitors, that is what many players rigs are already capable of or will be by the time they upgrade next. I expect this game to have a long lifespan with a loyal fanbase and it is apparent that the developers are going to great lengths to make a great mechwarrior game, it would be a shame to not get on the widescreen train as it's really getting up to speed.
