Alright, now I can give you the full scoop, newshounds:
First off, the Oberon Confederation hasn't been heard from since 3045 after a HPG blackout that was written off as an equipment failure or the result of a coup in the politically unstable region. Now ordinarily that wouldn't be much of a problem, but the Lyran-derived One Star Faith wants to find out more about Elissa, and that makes things a little more complicated. You see, the One Star Faith, founded in 2801 on Graceland by a wealthy Lyran merchant named Simon Kroeger, believes that a paradise planet can be found orbiting the mythical One Star, surrounded by Kerensky's lost ships. Every three decades the religion's followers conduct a search in a new sector of space for this fabled star, which appeared to Kroeger in a vision. In recent years, the faith has been led by Egan Telosa, a childhood friend of Melissa Steiner-Davion, who joined the religion in 3031 with the belief that the world of Elissa, out in the Periphery, was home to "the blue lights of Kerensky's ships."
He isn't that far off the mark, in light of later events.

It seems that the Oberon Confederation was founded and ruled by one Hendrick Grimm and his descendants.
And they were pirates... brigands... marauders.
Could one of our very own mods be Pirate Royalty?!

But no, Lyrans have enough money to use it instead of WC paper, but they still want to find some "paradise".
They'll just find their doom, I tell 'ya.

Yeah, it's not like that Kerenesky followers are still alive and they want to invade Terra because it belongs to them. That's just being crazy.
PS: And I have officially overused this joke.
