


Environments of preference, extreme challenge, and with limited access!

... having this thread resurfaced as it offers more content than the thread on planetary environments, discussed in the General Discussion subforum at the moment ... and yes, maybe it would be a good idea if people check for the existence of topics already been used before they start creating a new thread on exactly the same topic

With regard to the different environments I would love to see an underwater battle scenario being implemented in MW:O, but also some of the other suggestions seem quite intriguing (e.g. swamp, drift ice, volcanic, space).
The meteorite storm would strike me as the most challenging one, possibly, also accounting for additional impact from meteor fragments, and the visibility (with raising dust clouds) and mech gyroscope control (on shaking ground) may also be affected by the meteor impacts.
Awarding more XP for more challenging environmental conditions could be an option but needs more balance and probably, it would be better if the consequence of failure, regarding the environmental obstacles, will not be as final as suggested in the poll.
In my opinion special events could certainly spice up the gameplay now and then.

I'm hoping for swamps with mist/fog blocking sight to a certain extent....
i would actually have big disadvantages given my very mobile playstyle, but i think it sounds like the kind of enviroment that is rarely used in any game so it would be interresting.
