Yet I did 1,367 damage!
How does that work?
135 hits should be 1,350 damage, or less.

Or am I missing something? :D

I'm under the impression that ammo explosions caused by a weapon are added to that weapon's damage stat.

Could also result from critical hits, or a combination of the two, I'm not sure.

That reminds me of the armor rounding errors in mechlab.

Rayzor is correct it's caused from ammo explosions.

much more likely that it's from having crits on internal structure as you can get up to 3x normal dmg from a single hit. a few 20-30 point hits would push the dmg up just a bit, where as ammo explosions usually do something like 100-300 dmg you would see much higher dmg reading then what he posted.

But it would also be adjusted by the fact that a lot of his shots are probably hits at >450 meters that would give you less damage per hit.

It's probably a combination of bugs, crits, and overkill.

How often do you see ammo explosions though? Most people store ammo in their legs and few people shoot for the legs.

I'm not quoting a dev or anything, I'm just saying what my guess is. The idea of the extra damage being crits makes sense to me as well.

this is true but the falloff dmg on ballistic is VERY gradual as they have a 2x base range fall off scale so even at 900 meters you would do 5 dmg a hit, even if most of his shots where at around 700 meters he would be doing about 7 or 8 per hit. but we dont know what kinda fighter he is ie brawler or sniper, so we cant base his dmg totals on using the weapon beyond optimal range. the sample size is also pretty small.

Unlikely, as crit damage isn't "real" damage. It's calculated separately. If it was calculated as part of the damage, even a single crit would double the damage, since crit damage is in addition to the normal damage to armor/IS.
