Atlas Cockpit Scaling

Having watched the trailer a few times an aspect of it has begun to bother me. This might be just me but i'm sure the cockpit that you see would be unable to fit into the head of the atlas, or more specifically behind it's left 'eye'. When you look through the eyes of the pilot the window is about 3 or 4 times the width of the chair the pilot is sat in. So when it changes to looking at the 'eye' from the outside that would make the pilot inside pretty small compared to the guy operating the crane above. I think it would make more sense to have the cockpit occupy the whole head.

Again this could just be me. And it is just a trailer but the Devs did say it is the game engine and i imagine the atlas cockpit to remain the same. Next time you watch the trailer have a look at the scaling.

100 tons of iron doesn't take up a small amount of space my friend. The only 'Mech that I can think of right now that the cockpit takes up the entire "head" is a Flea.

EDIT: The dev's got their dimensions right, it's only problem that I can see is we aren't blowing S*** up with it yet. :ph34r:

On the battletech wiki sarna.net it shows a picture of an atlas cutaway and the cockpit occupies the whole head. But yeah it's just splitting hairs really. It should be good fun. Don't think i will go for the assault mechs, they seem a bit too big and slow. Going to go with a medium first.
