As a female player I find that there are not enough "cute" color schemes or camo available.

I would definitely pay for a Hello Kitty camo http://images5.fanpo...6-1210-1429.jpg

or

Rillakuma camo http://images5.fanpo...88-1024-768.gif

holy crap an actual female? is it even legal for you to be on the MWO forums?

as for the hello kitty, i would really love a hello kitty decal for my catapult c4 srm cat "hello kitty". unfortunately i think copyright laws screw that up though.

While in a meeting today waiting for lunch I drew and colored a catapult A1(apologies for the bad drawing) and posted it on my tumblr account

http://sweetpeasweetdreams.tumblr.com/

Blue and brown teddie bear, a hello kitty one and rillakuma one. (again apologies for the coloring - office sharpies - and drawing)

Ofcourse these are just color suggestions and like some camo can be changed into whatever you want.

I guess, people would pay for ability to be acknowledged in the game as trueborns. :)

I like the costom color laser idea! I'd deffinately pay for that. Just imagine being in a match, then seeing a freaking rainbow streak past you cause some guy decided to make his 6-laser Hunchback a killer rainbow.

Also, maybe even jump-jet colors. That would be cool. Or maybe once more advanced consumabe come out, they could throw in some taunting items or something. (Confetti emitter?)

i take issue with the lasers because laser color is used to rapidly identify threats. imagine if a mech turned all of their heavy lasers red just so people would not realize what is hitting them. it is something that is very ripe for abuse.

When Clan invasion starts, it would be nice to have a special module for IS fighters to conceal their mechs under the ground or inside buildings. As a consumable module it can be differed into several types by time it permits you to stay under ground and time it takes to emerge. Current scheme with CB + GXP = MC is highly appreciated.

I would pay for competent hero mechs designed for the game we play. As an example, hand actuators and lower arm actuators are canon, but not CANNON. In the game we play they are not something anyone is looking for on a custom mech. - Will be buying Heavy Metal

I would pay for rewards (or chance at) that aren't c bills or cosmetic - example entry into events against clan mechs for salvage rights / mech plans: It makes sense that clan tech early on would be got from the field, not by clicking 'buy'.

I would pay for hardpoint swapping and moving hardpoints between components. I really don't agree with the early decision to lock hardpoints but leave armor and engine size up to the player. That is backwards. You were concerned people wouldn't buy more than one mech, but there were other options.

Had a few ideas I haven't seen yet, mostly about cockpit customization. I think it would add a lot of atmosphere and enjoyment if you could really craft your own cockpit. I think it would make a mech feel more personal and yours in a way exterior paint never could, even if you can look at it in 3rd person.

So here are my ideas. Don't know how hard they'd be to implement, but I thought they were worth mentioning.

Custom cockpit photos
According to Hollywood, every pilot that has ever lived has had photos of special someones/somethings taped up in their cockpit, and I think it would be unbearably cool if we could do the same.

I don't think it would be all that hard to implement, either. If the formatting requirements were specific enough, importing custom images would only be a matter of adding them to a PAC file, and all the thorny legal issues could be avoided if custom images remained local and spectators continued to see a default image the purchaser had selected from a pool of pre-approved and/or PGI-produced content.

And even if you find the idea aesthetically unappealing, don't you think significant others would be a little more understanding if they saw a photo of themselves taped to the dash of their partner's Cataphract? ;)

Cockpit redecoration
I think it would be a great incentive to buy camo spec colors if players could repaint their mechs' interiors as well as their exteriors. They could even sell separate color patterns in the same vein as those now available for exteriors, and/or a variety of "distressed" texture patterns that added things like peeling paint, scorch marks, rust patches, etc.

It would also be neat to do to your cockpit what case modders do to their computers. Some examples:
  • Swappable cockpit elements (eg, replacing standard toggles with military-style toggles)
  • Additional styles/formats for the heatsink and ammo status displays. You could change these in ways that would be functional as well as aesthetic (eg, displays that show different/more info.)
  • Counters that keep a running tally of your kills, assists, damage, etc while in a match.
I'd totally buy a damage counter, if I could, and not to rub spectators' faces in my unstoppable pwnage (I'm just not that confident in myself and my K/D ratio is just not that good :P ). The instantaneous feedback would be very useful in figuring out how to improve my piloting skills.

Pilot camo spec/mods
Again, it would be nice to change the colors of the pilot's suit, and I'd sure like some additional options. These are all relatively expensive ideas, but I'd love to give my pilot some character:
  • Alternate clothing. This would require creating brand new meshes, but I'd certainly to have my IS pilots look more like ratty punks fresh from a 70's punk concert and my Clan pilots more like the hero from Crysis.
  • Alternate pilots. It would be fun to have the choice of different body types/genders.
  • Alternate startup animations. Have them crack their knuckles, bang the dash a couple times to get something to start working, etc. Random cycling between unlocked sequences would add spice and flavor.
  • Vocals. I think it would be great to hear my pilot cussing and crowing and screaming and groaning in response to events (sort of like Bitching Betty, only more colorful :D )

I would pay for a radio. This way, i can listen to good music, to good hints about playing or to any other upcoming patches/fixes/mechs.

I don't want to read it on the forum, it's more ok to listen to the news. And also, a donate button.

I would gladly pay for Hero Mechs that would not be standard mech in the game.

For example. My favorite mech in BT Universe is the Mauler. I got a feeling it will not see the day of light in the game because of variants or there is other mechs that can do it.

This would be very cool.

Another fave is Huron Warrior and King Crab.

Welcome to MWO Sweetpea. I don't know if this is your first experience of MechWarrior, but if it is stick with it, there's a lot more to it than you may think at face value. MechWarrior has been around since the 1990's, and many of the Pilots that you will encounter in the scenarios have been with Mech from the start. You have come in to Mech during the final stages of open Beta, so don't be afraid to add any suggestions for improvement, no matter how off the wall they may sound.

Above all though, enjoy the Mech experience

Edited for me. Even if there's one female mesh and one male, with multiple skins for each, it'd be a really cool addition.

If it continues to be something only you can see (eg they don't add infantry mode or some kind of lobby where you see players) it could even be moddable clien side, since there's really no way to cheat with it. What I'm trying to say is that I'd gladly pay a few dollars for an avatar that properly reflects by noble Tetatae heritage.

Old/long thread which I haven't read all the way through, so no doubt there's a lot of good stuff in here which probably duplicates what I'm going to say, but here goes:

The main thing I will specifically pay for is MC which is on sale. Simple as that. I was very disappointed at the lack of an Easter MC sale akin to what they had at Christmas. I was going to say "Sure. Here's US$99", but noop...

...because MC buys mech slots and mechs if I choose not to grind, and at the end of the day my single biggest objective is to have as many mechs as I can to fill any roll I might ever need to fill.

I don't care about colours or in cockpit items at all.

Custom pilots I'm 50/50 on (Will depend on cost).

And after MC which is on-sale, the other "Shut up and take my money!" would be a 'Sarcastic Bitching Betty' who berates you when you take too much damage and shutdown and things like that.

I would change the 29.99 to 24.99. Would allow individuals with gift cards of that common denomination an easy way to spend it on MWO.
