So all is speculation.
But through all the hype and info we have been given, is Mechwarrior online just going to be lance vs lance on a map, then lance vs lance on another limited map (rinse, repeat)?
Ok, we have a skill tree and ability unlocks on our mechs. But is the core of the game still going to be the same as what we have seen in many of past incarnations. Just a limiting map and mechs running round in a slug fest?
How much will the metaverse play in the overall game. I know they mentioned that the metaverse will not change much in the whole, just a small portion of said metaverse may be up for grabs.
So what way and how much will the metaverse inflence the game?
Will it just be lance on lance battles (AKA) the previous versions of mechwarrior just in better looking surroundings and better looking mechs ?
What is the outcome of winning a battle and what does that entail. Is it just a case of "yep you played your 543rd round and you have more money and points to add. Or is there a significance to winning such battles (or loosing) instead of .... you won here is 5 times "x" amount of money and "z" list of recoverable items and ..... you lost here is 1 (or less) times "x" amount of money and zero of recoverable items. You may now play another round.
I am only saying this because, i am very intrigued over this game. Have been following since many years back. I enjoy the IP of mechwarrior and if i may use MW4 mercs as an example - its a great game and the multiplayer side of it is fun. But the constant revolving of maps and slug fests with no importance to each round of battle does get very boring indeed.
So - what is the importance to the core game? How much do we influence it, how indepth can it be? How will we react to wins and losses and how do they react to us.....
Am i just a party pooper ?
Answers on a post card please :-)
