So just wondering will any of the old clans that used to play Mechworrior 4 on line be reforming for MWO or will there just be a lode of new clans? do any of the old clans still have there forums up?

Many old MW4 teams seem to have reformed. Check out the Merc Corps Recruitment board (yes it says "Mercs" but that's a metaphor for guild/team right now).

I've been looking to find my old clan as well, maybe there should be a thread for that purpose. Gimme a week to surf and gain rep then I'm gonna revisit the topic.

Provotech and Banshee Bullet, you may be misunderstanding the thread Topic - Please be aware that by "Clans", we mean the Clans as found in Battletech and the MW games based on that milieu and not understand the term "clan" as identifying with a team that you were on in another game that had nothing to do with the BT Clans. MWO is based on the BT universe only.

You should be posting in the Merc Corps threads unless you are attempting to reinvigorate an original invading Clan (Wolf, GB, Smoke Jaguar or Jade Falcon)

There cannot be a "load of new clans" in MWO unless it is as a team in the Merc Corps.

I am talking about a MW4 clan as in a clan themed team, which is what the original post was referring to. I am hoping to reform an old clan to some extent depending on how many former members I can gather or perhaps restart it altogether (still feeling it out). [TW] may live again

There are many teams in a waiting stage i would imagine i and like 10 old players will return when the download to the game is available and we can get on-line and start to play and practice most of our group is from MW2-Mercenaries between us all we have probably 100,000 hours of experience and 10,000,000 kills hahaha.But you will start to see allot of us old timers on-line cleaning your clocks soon.

Fair enough, some responders indicated something else.

We of the CBS that played in NBT-HC will unlikely be portraying that clan during MWO unless, magically, a planetary league pops up or if a homeworlds server for Clans only is created. Also, I do not think it possible to have one team be THE Clan (name one here) At best, we can have clusters, galaxies or even Stars of a main clan and not worry about having a Khan, just a GalCom or Star Commander. That way you only have to answer to ourselves and not a Grand Council.

Just a thought.
