Man they used to charge by the hour! You remember that? And we complain about subscirption fees nowadays... $15/mo? Try $6/hr!

I wasn't there when they were charging by the hour, but I did spend a few hours in a Trebuchet for House Kurita :)

I actually hope this game plays more like World of Tanks than that game did, you can almost do a 1:1 conversion. Oh man I hope this happens.

I still remember when AOL and the internet was not unlimited - MPBT on AOL had very few people. Afterall, you only could play 3 hours a month... SHEESH. Remember those days? Then unlimited AOL and internet came out and MPBT Solaris was at its prime. I sitll remember those days. I turned down women and stayed up late at night playing on Solaris on AOL. Those good ole' days.

I played that and NWN on AOL back in the charge per hour days. I had a buddy get so hooked, he spent hundreds a month (mostly on NWN). He dialed in long distance and then had the hourly charges on top of that.

I actually had a free AOL account because I worked at EB back then. Still had to pay for extra hours though.

When I was in MPBT:Solaris on AOL it was primarily as a member of the game staff. My personal playing time for MPBT:Solaris was primarily over on Gamestorm (Kesmai's own game service).

MPBT:Solaris was my first online (non-LAN) game. It's hard to live up to nostalgia, but I hope this game fills the spot left behind when it closed down.

Opiswahn, did you happen to be in the same jade falcon as Jakl and Elias? If so, your clan is still around :)

I loved playing MPBT back in the day! It was so fun and it was also my first online game I ever played. I try to explain how awesome it was to my son now and he just doesn't get it lol.

Ahh the good old days. When AOL went to unlimited play all the Houses ranks filled and we are some GREAT battles!

I miss this game... I wish there was a emulator for it. I would play against the bots if I could.
