What will it be? The...

Assassin!
Dervish!
Enforcer!

Hatchetman!

To be clear, the winner doesn't automatically end up in the game. This is entirely about information - keep that in mind.
Anyway - Vote now!

(These 'Mechs were voted for in previous polls, so all 'none I want the...' posts will be frowned upon.)

I'm a fan of all of them, but the Dervish's fire support capabilities would make it very useful.

The Dervish, Enforcer, and Hatchetman are all great mechs, but I think I'd have to go with the Enforcer for its durability, base loadout, and (assumed) modification capabilities. The 3050+ upgrades that increase its speed make it a real cavalry machine.

The Assassin is clearly undergunned, I was never one for the missile boats and even though I want melee attacks I don't really think those giant melee weapons on mechs make much sense.

Logical choice : Enforcer. We still need some jumpers anyway :(

The Assassin has great speed but sub-par load-out.

The Hatchetman will be interesting to see once melee is implemented but until then, no.

The Enforcer would be good for urban environment but a bit of a sitting duck in open terrain with it's slow speed.

The Dervish has good speed for it's size but will need to make careful use of it's ammo if faced with a prolonged fight.

Dervish it is.

Oh please, all witty banter aside, of those 4 the Enforcer is hands down the best.

It's not about making sense, it's about hitting a mech with a great big hatchet.
I always choose the more fun gameplay option when putting together my lances...and I always ride a Hatchetman.

I'm liking the enforcer.

Then again I'm a fan of autocannons, the Centurion, and the Federated Suns.

So that makes sense then...

All about that Poor Mans Archer Dervish. I think this question might cause a fist fight between the guys at NGNG though. :(

Dervish is much better. Good weaponry and mobility. With minor modifications it would be my primary choice for IS level 1 medium mech.

Assassin = fast, but fragile and underarmed.
Enforcer = very balanced mech but limited. Great for newbies - not so good for aces.
Hatchetman = stylish but too slow to make proper use of that melee weapon.

I'm just scared that if we film/record it we might get sued by "bum fights"

HELL YES THE DERVISH. First mech I ever played with on the tabletop game.

Mine was named, 'The Belligerance.'

My interest was between Darvish and Hatchetman, the latter possibly better for Urban combat...

However, my decision is Darvish because it has better mobility, multirole for open field and possible urban combat. Depending how missile locking will be implemented, a "lock and forget" weapon is nice to have for medium - long range. SRM10s and 2 MedLaz are decent to give some damage at short range.

I guess this is a medium more on the "scouting" and "Fire Support" side anyway, I would not expect a durability when it gets nasty and close... JJ should help with evasive manouvers tho..

Well, we really don't need another medium that can't outrun a heavy, so the Enforcer and Hatchetman are out (I do find the possible inclusion of a melee-focused 'Mech encouraging, though).
So, between the Assassin and the Dervish, I'd prefer the Dervish be included first because of its long-range focus. Out of our current medium 'Mechs, one is short-range only, and the other is primarily short- to mid-range. The Assassin is a decent 'Mech, but including it as the next medium would leave the weight class without any decent long-range punch. Therefore, go Dervish :(
