Probably just a jump faliure, there couldnt possibly be any other reason.

The Oberon Confederation is in the Periphery, the Clans have already conquered that area of space at this point.

Very soon you'll be hearing rumors about alien invaders, Comstar will have more info on this then anybody else but won't share the details.

Stupid dirty pirates. If those poor merchants had Draconis Combine forces defending them, then they'd not have lost anything, let alone a whole Jump Ship.

Only Lyran's can't fight well enough to stop periphery pirates. Everyone knows there's no decent fighters in the periphery, so that's pretty amzing!

Hah, at this point, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Lyrans taken over by rear raders from the dark void!

Though it makes me somewhat ill to say it, I suppose even the lackies of Davion can occationally be right. Occam's Razor, again - a jump fail is the most likely reason - I ask my ancestors to watch over me every time we go into jumpspace, for though death on the battlefield is an horonable thing and not to be feared, I would not want my spirit lost in the void between the stars.

Well, when you stick your neck out in space full of pirates, what do you expect to happen? Not sure what kind of armaments the LFTA normally uses, but a lone JumpShip with cargo DropShips full of goodies seems like a pretty ripe target in my mind. People can argue all day about the Oberons being "civilized," but I've learned not to trust anyone outside of the Federation of Skye.

Move troops to the periphery borders, and see your coreward assets overrun. They just need to invest in some actual anti-piracy, not move mechs around.

The 4 invading Clans hit world in the periphery in 3049. Check this link Clan Invasion
