Sure, there are plenty of of other mechs I'd like to see as well, but these were the first mechs I played, and so they have a special place in my heart compared to most other designs. It just wouldn't be the same Battletech or Mechwarrior to me if I knew I'd never be able to pilot my Phoenix Hawk around a building and unexpectedly come face to face with the menacing form of a Marauder with its heavy gunpod forearms swinging around to get me in its sights and realising I need to use every bit of piloting skill to survive and escape this situation.
That's Mechwarrior to me. It's as more about what I associate with the look and feel of the universe than anything else. Sure, they have to be redesigned, like every other mech has been, but I've got faith that the devs would be able to keep the spirit of the original designs in there so they'd be recognizable as themselves.

And now that the Awesome made it we can move on.
Banshee - fits more roles than a Zeus which I also like, given what I see with the mech lab this mech could be fun to tinker with.
Black Knight - It's lostech but I dont care. They existed..
Archer is a nice choice just depends on how many LRM mechs your going to have.
#1... WarHammer - I dont care if you need to swap out the search light or SRM 6 pack to make it 'work". Just give me that mech. It's one of the classics. Black Widow company -- Wolfs Dragoons, do I need to say anymore about a hot red head (it's the way i view it) that can make a WarHammer dance and sing the song of death.
#2 Hatchetman - because I can and "Ramming speed" or just give me the cool DFA with the hatchet..
Vindicator - Nice medium mech workhorse type.
Rilfeman sound like a nice long range sniper. Give it the enhanced targeting for picking off those long range archer guys or the poor soul who climbs in a VTOL and flys your way. If your looking for role warfare this might be an option that is long range but not missles.
#3 NightHawk power armor - stealth version so I can sneak up on all the clanners that don't know what a warhammer is and beat them to death with their sibkin watching.
I vote for any or the orginal mechs you can fit in.

Clan what? Its a Fed-Com mech! And its SCARY BAD ***!
Wait really? huh, my bad. It still wouldn't be produced anywhere near when MWO takes place right? I'll admit I don't really have much of a handle on the fluff...

Actually, if I remember correctly, I think MekTek added in the king crab when they made MW4 FTP.

45 tons of fun! Good balance of armor, speed and firepower. THE best recon mech in the Tech level 1 world!

Don't hit me for mw4, of course I liked mw3 more
Also Orion IIC and Warhammer and Marauder and like 20 more
And what's the difference between 'original TimberWolf' and MadCat as was mentioned previous in this thread? Isn't it just the different names to call the same Mech? I know Inner Sphere tried to copy TimberWolf in like year 3060+ and it was a fail Mech imo.
