And what about the JagerMech?

My fault, apparently! Check the list in the original question- I didn't ask for the Jagermech or the Spider (although clearly my intent was to ask for all the variants of all the announced mechs!)

Clearly a question for Ask the Devs 19 B) Although I've had more than my fair share of answers.

People are missing a HUGE hint Garth is giving us.

"Q: Any plans on adding a 55ton mech? [Hodo]
A: Yes. [Garth]"

Only possible 'mechs it can be are... (assuming I haven't missed one, tried to rule anything out that isn't reintroduced until the Clan Invasion)

http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Shadow_Hawk
http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Kintaro
http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Dervish

http://www.sarna.net...28BattleMech%29
http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Hoplite
http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Cronus

Take the three Reseen out and the list shrinks, I think the only 3 real contenders (Hoplite sucks,) Are the Dervish, Kintaro, and Gladiator. I'm hoping for Kintaro or the Gladiator.

The Hoplite is Dragoon/Clan exclusive (to the point that when the Dragoons cut ties with the Clans, they lost access to replacement Hoplites and spare parts for those they already had) and the Gladiator is an Age of War design that is completely extinct until the WOB J***d.

The Cronus has a total of two variants, with one of them not being available until 3060.

Minus the Unseens, it's really down to either the Dervish or the Kintaro.

There will be a 55 tons mech for sure, and it is the Stormcrow / Ryoken. It's a clanner and will be announced probably only next year.

There is no I.S. 55 tons mech that would fit the timeline. Excluding the Unseen, most of those listed are too rare (if not extinct), like the Kintaro, Gladiator and Hoplite. The only mech left is the Dervish, an interesting design, but with only 2 almost identical variants (including the primary). So no, it won't be the Dervish either.

You've been wrong before Odanan. Don't cut it off just yet.

Actually, the Shadow Hawk has a "Primitive" variant, that can be used as a workaround:

The mini for it is currently sold in the "Bounty Hunter's companion lance"

The KTO-18 is in production in Fed Sun space, and the KTO-20 has been gifted to the glorious dragon from Comstar. I wouldn't call the Kintaro dead. There are at least 4 variants they could use in MWO.

I don't think the Dougram designs are the ones they're still having issues with. They could probably get away with it.

What I'd like to know... really know.. is why none of the announced mechs fit the 75 ton slot? You have so far planned one for nearly all weight classes, but 75 tonners are one of the most favored weight classes and not having any represented is a shame.
Are there 75 ton mechs planned, but not yet announced?

Q: Have you guys considered adding Coolant Pods to increase heat dissipation of a mech's heatsinks when used? [vayne]
A: Yes, we considered and then dropped the idea. We found it more of a crutch and lead to more issues than it helped with. If you're in a long, multi-targetted single player game, it makes sense. In a player vs. player environment you get a MASSIVE increase in firepower for no cost, or it wouldn't be enough to make a difference (IE. the match would never last long enough for you running out of coolant to matter, because you've already killed two people. Or, it doesn't even last a single fight, then why even have it?) Does that make sense? [Garth]

He's still right. It makes little difference to gameplay. The argument for why it shouldn't be included still stand, and it still will not be P2W.

That's right! You may never, ever, EVER change your minds about ANYTHING. Nope. Can't be done. If you made a decision six months ago, you better stick to it. I don't care if we are talking about a dynamic system that is constantly in a state of flux. No changing your mind. Ever.
