I was watching the first trailer and noticed that the mech the Atlas was fighting had not been release. After closely looking at the video, i saw that the mechs name was Warhammer. Did i miss the release of this mech or has it not been released for some reason?

Well for one, those were different art assets, that's probably one reason. The infringement might've been another but they did say the concept would have to go through the current concept artist. Come to think of it we haven't seen many heavy mechs yet either so you never know...

The very first trailer with the Warhammer against the Atlas was from around 2 or 3 years ago, when Smith & Tinker wanted to do a PC/XBox/PS3 multiple platform release. No it has not been released, even though it would be an very good 'mech to put into the game. there has been several issues between different companies in the past that put some designs in the area of "probably not going to be in a game" unfortunately.

It's okay. Not really over powered as it has heat issues and somewhat thin armor. As with anything some variations are better than others. Still I could think of a couple 'mechs I would rather pilot over the warhammer.

Saga? Seriously I love it when people link the Macross mechs to Robotech instead. And Tomahawk's were used for more than 3 minutes as were the Cheyennes, but they're point defense weapons so not terribly important...

The warhammer is by far my favorate mech. I really hope with a bit of design rework it can make it into the game.

Not really.

Good weapon loadout, but it doesn't have the heat sinks to use everything (at least not past the initial volley), and no more armor than a Hunchback, despite being 20 tons heavier.

It's a nice design, but nowhere near OP.

I think this should be good enough to not look exactly like the current Warhammer, yet retain enough of the look to appease most including me that like the Whammy.

Personally Harmoney Gold doesn't own the rights so I fail to understand how they can tie anything up in court. Furthermore Microsoft could have bought them out when they had the chance years ago to keep in the mechs we all love. In closing to those who wish to keep me from my beloved Whammy....see video below.....
