I heard that the promotional crossover hasn't been working out after all, so Battlemech # 16 has been removed from that other game and might be coming to MWO soon.

Unless its an unseen or clan mechl, making us wait is silly. New players need shiny things to draw them into the game. Concept art is the perfect way to do this. I hope something super special comes soon...

Well we know it's an Assault (if followng the previous release pattern). We also know that marketing took a specific interest in this one, so it's likely awesome. I am expecting it will be released when the game goes open beta in order to draw new players in.

The other option is that it's a clan mech (any bets oin the first clan mech NOT being a Madcat). In which case it's release into the game wouldn't be for quite a while, but would cerrtainly draw interst.

The odds on it being an unseen mech are right around zero. While many of the unseens are very cool, it's a troublesome category for anyone that wants to avoid lawsuits or extra licensing costs.

So I would say most likely, a very cool Inner Sphere assault mech. Next most likely, the first clan mech (in which case half the community starts yowling like loney puppies, and I just go *meh* Least most likely, an Unseen.I'd love the unseens (Marauder and Warhammer esp) but I really fon't think that's gonna happen.

I don't think it will be released for a while however.

Im betting its going to be in the magazine article. its a perfect marketing stratagey to both sell the magazine and a perfect moment to reveal a new awesome mech for those who have impatiently waiting. if i had to bet. id put my money on that being the event marketing was waiting for

PGI said they would reveal it during an upcoming event.

If its an unseen mech death by nerdgasim will jump 1000%.
My bet is on a Clan mech.

I would bet my C-Bills on heavy IS mech - there is huge tonnage gap between Catapult and Awesome (no 70 or 75t mech).

My money is on a clan mech- If they want a stable of finished clan mechs in time for next March, they need to have already begun the art process for them.

i doubt its a clan mech, its more likely an unseen such as the warhammer or marauder.

I'd be really surprised if it were a Clan Mech. I'm sure it's another IS 'Mech. Victor is a good bet given you can equip it with jump-jets and provides a different play style to those already announced. Could be a Cyclops, to give a 90 ton mech and one specific towards a Commander role.

Or hell it could be a King Crab. That seems to be a favorite. I would be shocked though if they released a Clan Mech. Seems like they would introduce a Clan mech for every class if they were to do that. Like, Dire Wolf, Timber Wolf, Nova/Stormcrow, and Kit Fox/Adder.

But again, doubt they're doing that until well into Clan Invasion.

Agreed, mech #16's announcement has been too long. As marketing is reserving it for "something special", I bet it will be a clan mech with announcement of clans. If its not a clan mech, I still think that is awesome, but it should have been announced already.
