Are you sure you are not confusing this Highlander
with this Highlander? (looks like a magazine scan)
Both are by Alex Iglesias/Flying Debris. But the last one just showed now and it's clearly the MWO style.

I understand people want to see more mehcs, and I have no problem with that, but it could be that PGI thins there are enough for now and will wait with revealing more mechs until after release.
Not trying to discourage the discussion here, just making an observation.

I dont think so... the art style is nothing like that of MWT
Example:
I think that the highlander is pretty obviously a FD creation, and with the upcoming pc gamer has a MWO article, i think its pretty likely that it is taken from there.

Ummm the Clan invasion is just beginning based on the games time frame. It won't go into fill effect until sometime next year.

The Highlander (In the HGN 733 version) was being produced in 3039 in limited supply and is still being produced now. Production will ramp up with the original Star League era standard HGN 732 version post 3050 once the the technology is in place (I.E. Gauss Rifles). The HGN 733 was detailed in the 3039 TRO.
There are markedly few variants I won't deny that, but certain chassis are that way, and the Developers touched on this in a previous Q&A I believe stating that certain chassis with limited selection of variants would just have fewer variants to unlock to get to master but would have increased slots for modules and unlocks in other areas to make up for it. Forgive me for not linking to it directly, but I don't remember which one it came from. I do remember reading that though.
Just thought I'd clarify that for good measure. <S>

according to 3039 tro the 733 was prduced up until the fourth sucession war, until hollis lost the licesne. StarCorps started too produce refit kits during the mid 3030s. so i think its safe to say we can atleast get 2 varaints of the chassis.
