I Like many others started playing MWO just before Open Beta, I Solo dropped again and again, but it never got any better. I ran into a couple of groups and joined one which eventually just faded away.
Recently I found a game called Star Citizen that immediately grabbed all my attention! I then started looking for people to Play with and found BWC on the Forums. Whilst reading about them I noticed they also play MWO and PlanetSide 2! After having a long break from MWO I thought It was the perfect opportunity to load my Mech up and do some drops!
I do not have to tell or convince you that dropping alone isn't fun, you know this and BWC brings the fun back into the game!
Thanks BWC!

Have you ever joined a drop where people just ran off in all different directions to do their own thing? That's what was happening to me in MWO. I spent hours in my mech bay toiling away at the different configurations and checking patch notes to determine what was the new flavor of the week and how I could carry my team to victory since no one wanted to work together. I learned after multiple matches that carrying the team on my back was just not going to happen in a game like MWO, where being focused could mean an instant death. I decided that after several more matches that ended in a short life, that I needed to find a team...

I'll keep this one short and sweet. Would a person rather:
A.) Do a mind-numbing amount of drops, grind out points, watch a bunch of pugs scatter around and chatter on like a bunch of morons
or
B.) Seek out an organized team of Mechwarriors who thrive on teamwork, structure and skill to defeat the enemies?
And then I found BWC, still kicking *** and taking names like they used to. That's why I started looking, and was lucky enough to join BWC's ranks.

For most of my life as a gamer I have played single player games or solo in the earlier multiplayer games that came along. The Mechwarrior games were a good example of this. However, within the past few years the games I have been interested in have moved more toward multiplayer only or MMO experiences. Mechwarrior Online is no exception to the rule. Who doesn't like big stompy robots that shoot things? I attempted to play early in the beta only to discover the only thing I seemed capable of doing was dying. I always seemed to die to a concerted team effort. I play games to have fun and dying uselessly is not fun. Team play seemed to be the answer. When I suggest team play I don't mean random groups and the frustration of text chat to attempt coordination. I mean people who know each other, train with each other, and communicate effectively. This seemed to me to be the road to fun in MWO and any other game I might be interested in.

Frustration. I was looking for a team because I was continually frustrated with my performance of the game. I wasn't very good, and I wasn't getting much better alone. If I won a match it usually had little to do with my efforts.

It all started on a warm summer evening, birds tweeting in the branches… Nah, just kidding, it all started with the Star Citizen cinematic trailer, when I first saw the Bengal I knew ‘’man I want to be in a Bengal once in a life’’ But as the book ‘’Rich Dad Poor Dad’’ Says you must never say I can’t get it, but you have to ask yourself ‘’how can I get it’’ after thinking for some time I had my decision.
What I was looking for in a team:
I need a big Company to join! Well organized and with a rich history. I wanted to be part of one team and not a group of individuals!
‘’One Team One Fight’’ That’s what I found, the Black Widow Company
Why I chose to join BWC:
The military aspect fascinated me from the very beginning ! After reading through the SOP and BWC’s history I knew that this was the Company with which I could achieve my goals! I was also fascinated by the idea of controlling a part of space and the fact that they hated piracy!
After all, BWC was the most promising and best looking outfit out there, and I can say, it was the right choice!
First impressions withing the first month of starting whti BWC:
that's cool. that's cool as well. that were my first impressions ! Everybody was incredibly friendly, helpful and everything ran smooth.
The Military Style made fighting great, we won nearly every battle even if we only were a few against a lot of enemys.
I was really fascinated by the organization in our Star Citizen fleet! It was incredible. Everything was so incredibly well planned and everything seemed perfect.
After the first few days I knew that I as right here.
BWC-One Team, One Fight !
Why I have stayed with BWC
Gaming simply was more fun and I won more often. It also was this unique feeling in BWC, a group of very professional friends if you want to say so. I thrilled to see that aspect kicking in in Star Citizen, the main game why I joined BWC.
How I’ve improved in my game after joining BWC:
I can’t talk about that a lot because Star Citizen, the game for which I joined, isn’t out yet. But I started to play planetside 2 after I joined and I can say, I wouldn’t have learned as much if I haven’t been in BWC.
If you start playing the game it can be very very depressive because the weapons you have make a huge difference in how many kills you land.
But I think I’ve got better faster than most of the other players, because when you play in a group with only high battleranks you gain a lot of experience. I hope to archieve the same in our Star Citizen Regiment
My most memorable moment with BWC:
I have two; the first one is from the time I first logged on in Team Speak. Everybody welcomed me, was super friendly and tried to help me out wherever he could!
That’s the BWC- One Team One Fight Mentality.
The second one was in Planetside2, we, a squad of 12 was locked inside an enemy building by the shields around us.
The base had only alpha point, and that point was where we were. Only us twelve against the enemy forces, holding alpha point until it flipped.
We killed about 60 Enemies, medics staying clause to heavy assault !
That’s what you will see when you join us !
Come check us out, I will see you on www.the-bwc.com

Dropping by myself was fun. So much fun that it made want to leave this game for good several times. It has in fact made me take very long pauses in game play. I wasn't happy with the game, with was happening around me, with the lack of communication that ofted lead to defeat. After almost a year of not playing I've decided to go back into things. I've decided to play again only this time differently. And if previously I've drooped alone, now I was going to do it as part of an organized team.

Being Ex Military myself, the feeling of being part of something bigger has always held true with me, extending into playing games and seeing groups of people running around tags above their heads!
I played the original MechWarriors so when I saw that they were doing an online version I jumped in, and promptly got stomped all over. Not really enjoying things I stopped playing and went back to single player games...Thats when I found BWC through Star Citizen... Everything has now changed. That Brotherhood feeling is back, being part of something bigger, achieving more than the sum of its parts...

Have been a lone wolf in most games, tried my best and pretty much always fail and have become boring fast when you're alone. searched for days and weeks for a group that suited me, as a newb I am at times I needed someone who could give me some training and tell me what I'm doing wrong as well, and BWC was the best choice.
After just a short time they have given me much more confidence, and provided very good training in teamwork, which actually makes it more fun.
And so incredibly friendly group of people too.

I was tired of playing the pug lottery, hoping to get decent players on my side instead of people who all did their own thing and had us lose in the first 2 minutes. The frustration factor has dropped a lot, and it is much more enjoyable to see the same people in different operations.

My story applies mostly to Star Citizen. But the same ideas and principles apply to any game out there.
Back in October of 2012, I discovered that Chris Roberts had returned to the gaming industry. He returned not only to delve back into the world of video games, but to create the video game of my dreams. This was the video game I had been waiting for Chris Roberts to create for over a decade.
My first order of business, of course, was to immediately invest into the kickstarter campaign, and do my part to help bring this dream to a reality. The next phase involved absorbing and gathering as much information as I could. Albeit limited at the time, the little information available ignited my imagination and enthusiasm.
Now, I’ve played a number of MMO games over the years, and I’ve been a member of several smaller guilds over the course of my gaming career. Counter Strike, City of Heroes, WOW, to name a few. There is strength in numbers, and strength is often required in MMO games, especially to achieve the loftier goals found towards “end-game.” But, there’s more to it than that. None of these groups ever stuck together for very long. Some even disbanded, or faded away before my time with the game ended.
Even when those guilds were up and running, it was often difficult to achieve some of the most rewarding in-game goals due to either lack of organization, poor strategy, or simple not enough people logging-in at the same time. There were a number of times when I wanted to go achieve XYZ goal, but nobody else had the time or interest in helping me out. This always brought-on much frustration. In order to experience those truly epic moments in gaming, you need close friends who will be there to support you, and watch your back. Especially when the you-know-what hits the fan.
I knew that with the massive scale and diversity of Star Citizen, I wanted to be ingrained with a tight-knit group of like-minded players. So I started searching throughout the forums, and on RSI’s website. It didn’t take me long to find BWC. The fact that BWC is “Veteran run, military structured” caught my attention right away. As with any combat-oriented game, structure, dicipline and organization are key. Maybe it was my personal military experience which drew me to BWC. Perhaps it’s BWC “lawful, good” moral stance. Either way, it felt like a perfect fit from the get-go.

I play casually but intensely. I am lacking time but not motivation or drive. Thus, when I do have time to play, I do not want to waste it on an inferior gaming experience. I love coordination and teamwork and, last but not least, I enjoy the company of like-minded folks while destroying the enemy forces.
Playing MWO on my own with random other players was fun initially, but I felt the lack of communication and resulting lack of tactics to be a detriment to my gaming experience. The BWC offered a fix to this issue and much, much more...
