There was another one made after Robot Jox where there was a giant scorpion robot fighting something else... I forget. Same makers (I think it was called Robot Wars). There is a live action Gundam movie but it is absolutely horrible and you won't even see a robot until like 45 minutes into the film (G-saviour I think).

There's also Gunhed:

I dunno if this is real but it looks hell cool - Gaiking Live Action :P

You can probably find a bunch more just searching for mech/mecha + live action :)

I used to have Robot Jox on a VHS tape. Found it at a flea market in a freebie box. When I watched it, all I could think of was: Hey... cool... Lyrians vs Fedrated Suns... :D Cool Beans.

I watched about 15 minutes of Robot Jox, thought to myself, WT# is this S*** and rage quit!

I couldn't get the VHS out of my VCR fast enough. On one November 5th [Bon Fire night, Guy Fawkes, V for Vendette night] we had a Bonfire in the back garden to burn all our old junk, guess what went in during the hight of the blaze and heat.

Hey, don't knock it, Alan. When you're going through Battletech Withdrawls and no one to talk to who 'understands your addiction'... Robot Jox... While cheesy and seriously lame in parts.... at LEAST it gives you a partial fix. And hey, whenever I want my family to run away screaming, I simply plug in either THAT movie or Rocky Horror Picture Show. *evil grin*

I'm a ******.... I love making my significant other groan and leave the room. The SO is now an EX-SO now..

I don't know, when I need a BT fix, I read a book.

My stomach can only take so much crap before I vomit, and I eat a lot of junk food.

Char's Counterattack
The End of Evangelion
The Wakening of the Trailblazer
Transformers the Movie (not to be confused with the Michael Bay dreck)

are the best in that order. Unfortunately you have to watch the full series before watching them to fully enjoy them. Well Transformers you can probably enjoy, but I do not recommend doing the same with the others.

I have high hopes for Guillermo Del Toro's Pacific Rim next year.

I'd be down. I've always wanted to give voice acting a shot.

I watched robot jox when i was young it was okay. Then i re-watched it later, it was horrible. The only mech i have seen in a movie that i kinda liked was in Avatar. You know those small little mechs with that canon on it with the knife. Would those be considered mechs, proto-mechs, or battle armor?? lol

One day there will be a good BT movie but not today.

Battle scene on Hoth. Empire Strikes Back. Best Scene. Then watch Aliens and imagine them flowing together.

....

It would be made... if we could convince Hollywood that the bad guys could be an evil energy corporation out to exploit natural resources... oh wait that's Avatar... and it blew pulse lasers...

The first Transformer movie with the helicopter guy (Blackout?) attacking the military base in the beginning, I thought that was pretty close to what might be Mechwarrior combat. Especially with the PPC-like wave gun he was using on the vehicles. (That was pretty cool.) :P

You'll defintly will need to watch all of Neon Genesis Evangelion before watching End Of Evangelion since EoE was intended as a replacement/supplement for the orginal final two episodes of the TV series.
