You'll defintly will need to watch all of Neon Genesis Evangelion before watching End Of Evangelion since EoE was intended as a replacement/supplement for the orginal final two episodes of the TV series.

Also, when watching Evangelion and following up with End of Evangelion, steel your mind for the mind-$%#$ing that will take place. I have no other way to say it other then that.

I believe I remember reading somewhere that someone has bought the rights to make a BT movie years ago...but still hasn't done it.

Bruckheimer maybe?

I could be wrong of course... :D

I only remember there being 2 films of "mech" combat, both arena based i think and both VEEEEERY bad. I'd love there to be a good one based or about the battletech universe, but to do it justice it would have to be CGI i think, and thankfully as we've seen with trailers to big games, it could be done and done well

I think I might cozy myself up with watching all of Gundam Wing for the umpteenth time. This might seem laughable but I truly believe that Gundam Wing is what made me the person I am today. A dreamer of the future and what technologies it might bring. With giant robots and...what is th.... a Gundam! *explosion*

I'm actually about to watch Robot Jox right now; talking about MWO the past week with local friends really got me in the mood for old mech movies, but I can't think of any more that haven't already been mentioned off the top of my head.

Have you seen the Megas XLR cartoon?

IF you haven't you should check it out, most if not all mech fans should love Megas! :D

OMG two movies that should be left burried in time Robot Jox<the only movie as bad as the book> and Robot Wars! So horrible you will need to scrub your brain with bleach!

it may not seem possible, but robo warriors is even worse. Mix a bad battletech knockoff with alien invaders.

Appleseed Is a very good movie. Though its more battle armor sized than giant robots of death. The first one is 2003 i think and the second is 09?, there is an old animated short that isn't too bad as well.

I wrote a script for a battle tech movie about 3 years ago and I even talked to Randle and Loren rather briefly about it when I was at dragon con but until they deal with that whole Unseen mess it properly will not see the light of day. And I have been a fan of the universe since the old Fox teeth and tales of the black widow days :).

This is one of those things that I've wanted for a long time. But it just hasn't happened yet.

I'm actually pretty hopeful as of late however!

Lets look at all the Robots that have been in movies in the lase few years!

-Avatar- chalked full of robots.

-Transformers- Was ABOUT robots.. (mechanized aliens?)

-District 9- Had and AWESOME robot scene in it. (not an big leap to mech combat)

I'm actually feeling pretty good about the prospect of a Mechwarrior movie.

It's been proven many times in the last decade that giant robot battles are well like by movie goers.

I think eventually someone is going to decide that a big budget mech movie is a good idea.

I can wait. I have all the battletech games for the last thirty years here to keep me company until then.

That would be Dean Devlin. One of the two guys behind Stargate and Independence Day.
