Until today. I am really looking forward to this. So much so I canabalized parts from a couple of old PCs and played MW4 Mercs for 4 hours.
My job has moved me to the Mac side so I haven't held a joystick in a while.
I am either going to bootcamp Win 7 on my Mac or do something crazy like buy a PC just for MWO.
I don't feel like doing the research to build a PC.rig that's affordable and will run the engine well. Anyone know some affordable off the shelf rigs?

I`d probably hold off on any expenses until we get an idea of the game requirements.

This post will probably get sent to the Hardware forums eventually, but first gotta ask what kind of budget (what is your definition of 'affordable') you'd want to spend on this system and how close you want the system to run the game at maximum (not that we have any real specs yet). http://www.ibuypower.com and http://www.cyberpowerpc.com have some predesigned configurations that will get you where you need to go. It's not as cheap as building it yourself, but these computers tend to be of higher quality (for the purposes of gaming) then, say, Dell or HP. Not that they don't have good PCs but, Cyberpower and Ibuypower tend to focus more on the video card end of things.

Yo Randal, to catch up on anything you missed regarding this game: read info and links here: http://mwomercs.com/...-pretty-please/

and check the video in my sig if you havn't seen it already.

As for your rig, like HeroicTofu said, you can't lose by building your rig at one of those two companies. They are by far, more superior to Alienware today since Dell dumbed their options down to nothing. You can pick up a killer rig for low bucks. I bought mine from them and it is awesome.
