pheonix hawk with gauss rilfe. love the idea of hitting a target 21 hexs away and doing 15pt of damage, and watch the other player get scaried.

Uziel is pretty good. But my only love is Mad Dog. 60 tons heavy 'Mech with decent speed and loadouts from far range support up to close range hit-and-run striker. The only 'Mech that inspires me to replace that damn eject button with "screw it" sticker or an alpha-strike button.

My faves are Uziel, Hellhound, Osiris, Marauder and Marauder II, Elemental battlesuit, Behemoth and Behemoth II, Bushwhacker, Daishi, Catapult, and of course the Madcat and Madcat II.. Osiris is definately the top of the list there however.

#1 Archer........
however, those rear firing med. lasers need to go.
I got fire lance friends to cover my backside!!

I'll settle for a catapult.........
but gotta find some extra tonnage for ammo
8 rounds just dosen't cut it in most battles
4 med. lasers are nice but if thats all I got left.......

My favorites are: Timberwolf, Dire wolf, Mad Dog, Shadow cat, Kit fox, Adder, and Rifleman. But I love the Marauder the most.

Raven, Cougar, Nova, Exterminator.Crab,King Crab.Highlander,Rifleman.

I'd love to say the Timber Wolf, Its one of the iconic clan mechs. But saddly I just could not pilot the damned thing. I really sucked in it, I'm not sure why.

So in the entire BattleTech Universe, which 'Mech is your favourite?

I peronally liked the Mad Cat Mk II and the Vulture from Mechwarrior 4 Vengence

Yep, Madcat Mk II is my fave, also like the Catapult, Owens and Jenner.

Bleh I'm totally not a hipster by saying has to be the Mad Cat. It's design is just so iconic, and it looks most closely to what I would expect a military mech to look like if they were made in RL.

Runner up is Catapult, since it's a madcat with no arms and shorter.

3rd place? Ahh I'm not as sure by that point. Bushwacker and Thor are pretty cewl.

I made a very poor choice of favorite 'mech. Long before I heard of the Unseen and the problems facing their use in games, I got a WHM-6D in the Solaris BTMux and came to love it. Still crossing my fingers for a miracle and its inclusion in the game.

This. I love a mech with decent punch but I've never been much of a fan when it comes to heavy or assault mechs because they're too damn slow for my liking. The Mad Dog though, hits hard (in pretty much any configuration) and can move quickly when you need to get out of dodge. Great balance IMHO.

The Uziel comes a close second, I've always felt there wasn't much trouble I couldn't get myself out while piloting one :(

Oh how i miss my Vindicator, 45 tons of well blended damage, speed and Resilience, from the punch of the PPC to the long range support of the LRM 5 rack, even the, no, esspecially the 'with you tell the bitter end' medium laser mounted in the head, can't count the number of times that laser got me through the fight, and jump jets, i'd never be happy with out them, lovingly upgraded with clan tech as i could get my grubby merc hands on it (but never straying from the core design) with the various options for load outs, truely a jack of all trades... now what's this 'The Unseen' i noticed in the other posts, is there a list of not to be seen mechs somewhere? please say the vindi makes the cut...

Edit:
ok just looked up Unseen, at least acording to the wiki, my vindi should be allowable, Phew....

I love Rotary AC 2.
I love any Mech that can carry multiple Rotary AC 2
The more Rotary AC 2 I can fit on it, the more I love a Mech

In MechWarrior 4, that was the Fafnir.

If they won't give us Rotary AC 2 at launch, I'll take something 85-95 tonnes with a small silhouette, a good engine, lots of jump jets and 3 ER PPCs, skimp on Heat Sinks, crashing through the air as I overheat and hope I don't catch fire. Ah, happy days.

Warhammer looks just awesome with the blocky, bulky chest and the red CAMO the MWO trailer gave it. The miniguns it had on the sides of it's abdomin that spat out bullets was pretty crazy too.

If you want to talk gameplay, this is a fast mech for a heavy (travelling at 65 to 77 KPH) and mounts those fancy PPCs (my favorite weapon). It's a snipe and run mech, and ER PPCs enhance this role, however this does mean running away to cool off. If you get stuck with close range combat, it's good to have two medium lasers and four machine guns to fend with.
