Steele's 1st Legion of Thunder has been running dropships via the "unofficial" BETA TS server. We recruit those mature players that want the best game experience that they can have in a Merc Corp.

On any given night we usually have 2-3 dropships running consistently.

(currently in BETA only) Although upon release we will be openly recruiting.

We recruit only the best.

We are professionals....no BS.

If you've come up against us you already know who we are. If you haven't, you will know soon enough.

For now, that's all you need to know. ANYONE currently in BETA is free to get on the TS server and drop down to the Steele's 1st Legion of Thunder dropships. If there are less than 8 people in the ds ask for a spot in the next drop. We'll let you run with some of our officers for a while, and you might possibly be asked to join the Legion.

With the Open Beta date looming, it is time to find a unit. If you are looking for a competitive, professional unit run by mature adults (usually, lol) then you definitely want to check out Steele's 1st Legion of Thunder. Check out our website:

On Open Beta Launch Day download Teamspeak, and Join the "Unofficial Server" (Sticky is in the Beta Forums). Drop down to the Merc unit Channels and stop in our "Recruiting Office" channel.

Just an update: We moved over to the new "Unofficial MWO US server" (part of the unofficial beta server group) but we will still have some guys in the old one. Just "poke" one of us on the old one and we'll get you set up on the new one. And just because it is a "US" server doesn't mean we're strictly US players. We have a large contingent of Euro, Aussie, and Asian players in the Legion.

I recently joined Steele's 1st and let me just say that they are a great group of guys. Fun to chat with, respectful, open to trying different tactics/ideas, dedicated, and just all around great to play with. Definitely worth checking out.
