When the Inner Sphere News started tweeting their teaser jigsaw pictures of their Atlas MechWarrior Online picture I decided I had to go back and play through all my Mech games again to get ready for this new release.
My first entry into the Mech universe was MechCommander in 1998 then MechWarrior3. I have been playing through these two games and recording them as I play, then uploaded them all to youtube under the name of "Let's Pwn!" for a gaming site polypwn.com.
I first played through MechCommander and the first video for that is here
I play the game from start to finish across a series of videos.
Next I started MechWarrior3 and those videos start here
I am still playing through MW3 so will upload more videos soon, after that I start on MW4.
I hope you enjoy the videos. Cheers!

I got it to work at least once, that much i remember.
I wish there were a MechCommander III using the DOW II Engine . . It'd be perfect . .

Oh and I'm running Windows 7 64-bit and the game runs great. It did tend to crash occasionaly when right clicking mechs or weapons in the mech bay to remove or add them to lists.
I installed the game by right clicking on the CD and opening it, then right clicking the setup exe, going to properties then compatability and setting it to run under Win 95 compatability. I did the same for the game exe once it was installed, it worked ok. Let me know if you have trouble and I'll help out how I can. The real pain was getting MW3 to run properly, that's harder, instructions for that are on the first Let's Pwn MechWarrior3 video, but PM me if you need help with it.
MechCommander would crash a lot while trying to film it though haha.
if you look through the other videos on the channel you will see the whole of MechCommander on there and so far the first 2 Operations of MechWarrior3

Perhaps subtitles would help? I readily admit, I cannot understand most English accents.

Not a bad idea. I could subtitle with captions for videos I've already done and add them to the videos themselves for new ones.
I'll try it on the first MechCommander video and see how it turns out.
Cheers

Yeah, I'm not great with accents haha. It's the first time I've done videos like this before so I guess I never thought properly about how others will understand me, I'll subtitle the rest of my videos, I'm going the first one for MechWarrior 3 now

The subtitles are also quite well made. Did you use the automatic subtitles generator?

I remember playing MechWarrior 2 back in 1995 (all three installments of it) right up to MechWarrior 4 Mercenaries only 10 years later. I've been a devoted Battletech fan for a while, and it's nice to see that it's back on the road.
Here's to a long-lived Battletech community.

I used the one that is automaticaly made by youtube, and I'll tell you what, it had a much harder time understanding me than you did
There was so much nonsensical rubbish in there, it only got one single sentence right haha. It had all the correct timestamps there so it all timred up pretty well, I just changed the text on it
