It's nice to know that I'm lumped in the same category as the 15 year olds. : )

I'll be looking forward to competing against mature rivals.

It's 106 light-years to Solaris, we got a full load of ammo, half a pack of cigarettes, it's 3015... and we're wearing neurohelmets.

Hit it.

Old enough to have played Crescent Hawk's Inception on my Commodore 64. Old enough to have been a regular usenet poster on rec.games.mecha...

...old enough.

Found my dad's old Technical Readouts from 3025-3058, Played MW2-4, Read The Warrior Trilogy, The Blood of Kerensky Trilogy, and The Twilight of The Clans series, and am now awaiting the release of MWO!! 14 years old now, but I'll be 15 in a few weeks.

Phew, when I saw someone under 15 voted, I thought my dream of being the youngest was over, but a few weeks is less than a few months. :)

I'm 40. I played BT heavily through my late teens and 20s but haven't really touched it for the last 10 years. Funny enough, myself and a couple of buddies were driving to Montreal a few weeks back when we found ourselves reminiscing about the good 'ol days of gaming. Eventually the conversation turned to Battletech and about how good it would be to get back into a mech cockpit again. Lo and behold...

Two months ago I joined the oldest age category. Been playing with mechs since 86 with jury rigged actuators and bad heat sinks. The pilot with a fully functional neurohelmet was the "lucky" one. A working Coolant Vest was a luxury and we had to make do with ice packs and bikinis. Yeah that meant managing Heat on your overstressed mech was as important as hitting your target.

Too often, we lost pilots that were "boiled alive" in their own cockpits.

The problem is that it will mostly be 22 or mostly even older people in bikinis. Men. Mostly men. In bikinis. Brrr... :)

To be honest, I disliked being counted as immature now and when I was even younger.
I'd like to think I am decently mature for my age.
Besides it takes some guts, maturity and patience to sit a hot Mech waiting for your prey to line up in your sights. Waiting for that sweet moment to pull the trigger and fire hot lead into an enemy mech or chew at the ferrous armour with lasers. Only to take sweet victory over one target and stow it away to take on another target.

25. Played MechWarrior 2 way back when with a friend, and I bought a bunch of packs and stuff for BT CCG and don't think I ever actually played a game. I got a few games I'll be playing soon, with less and less time to do so lately, so I'm hoping I'll at least have SOME time by time this drops. Geeked out just a wee bit when I saw this announcement.

If you don't act immature, no one will treat you like that.

We all started young, and loved it!
Be proud!

Just keep in mind son, to listen.
You'll stay away of the mistakes we all have done - in our time.
