i'm 18 and have been playing the mech warrior series since MW3 (not modern warfare 3, mech warrior 3 :P ) and loved it since.. played mainly with a sliding throttle and a stand alone joystick (like a f16 would have).. if this game supports external joystick i'll definatly be upgrading so I don't have to fight the joystick spring anymore!!

i think the brackets are a not perfectly choosen.
its obvious to have a realy big part of the community between 22 and 32 . if you would have 5 year brackets, then it would probably be more 27-32 than 22-27

watching my cousine play mechwarrior at his house during family visits and a 3050 technical readout got it all started for me and that had to be more than about 12-15 years ago. Battletech 2nd edition, MW 2, GBL, Mercs, MW 3, MW4.

tried MWLL but couldn't get in a match with anyone so It was just crisis wars and waiting for summer time. though I should look into buying a new hotas. My old x45 kinda works but not really. trying to fix my old x45 would be like taking an old vacum tube tv/vcr combo set to a BB geek squad just to tell me to buy a new LCD, or and LED tv.

as for the post here. I think in time they developers could certainly widen the distribution of age groups. I'm happy where I am because something like MWO certainly wouldn't be all that practical with the cost and speed of internet ten or twelve years ago.

I've played since the original table top Battle Tech. Jump jets were shown in the trailers; light mechs need 'em to survive. I didn't see a Phoenix or Shadow Hawk listed as an introductory mech... <_<
