So this has happend to me a couple times now. All of my wepons have been destroyed or are out of ammo. I have a buch of enemy mechs surroding me close and just pounding my mech to dust. I was thinking wouldnt it be great if I had one last chance to do some damage by overloading the mechs reactor. Is there any chance soemthing like that could be put in. It could also give light mechs one more tactic for dealing with heavy and assault mechs.

KAMIKAZE FTW!!!! Unfortunately, if you did do that your "pilot" would die, obviously, and would you really want all that virtual blood on your hands? HE HAD A FAMILY, JIM, A FAMILLLLEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
Also, I'm assuming you are talking about a previous mechwarrior game, just as I am.

General consensus on thoose threads was that being able to blow up yourself doesn't make much sense from a background/fluff perspective (mechs are worth more than their pilots) and opens up the game to griefing (e.g. teammate going boom in your backside just as the match starts).

1.) Here is an identical thread, still on the first page!
2.) The option was in the original MechWarrior 4: Vengeance release as equippable "High Explosives".
They were often added to Cougars and used as high-speed kamikaze units.
Many servers banned them due to the level of griefing, and they were not included in the expansions to the MW4 line.
