We've ALL heard her voice.

Reactor...Online
Sensors...Online
Weapons...Online
All systems Nominal

We all love it. Please bring her back.

Having actually had the pleasure of speaking with her she is an amazing person and has been involved in the gaming industry for some time now. She's on Facebook BTW :) http://www.facebook....150098409635315

...I'm all for this. The nostalgia would be pretty awesome, among other things.

Yes, someone convince her. If MWLL can get George Ledux for Duncan Fisher on no budget, Mrs. Ruggier should be simple enough to hire on for a few vocal sessions.

...speaking of which, it would also be cool to get George Ledux in this, too. :)

People like money. He has been in a few mechwarriors now, why would he decide to jump ship on another?

I hate doing things out of nostalgia, but if it was one thing I wanted in this game from the past, it would have to be Carol Ruggier voicing my 'Mech's interface.

George Ledoux is probably one of the coolest people involved with MechWarrior. He even did a memorial speech for Neuromancer, it was incredible.

Oh man I never knew about this. Duncan Fisher does voice work for Living Legends?
****...
I need to reinstall Crysis now don't I?

Edit: As good a place as any to put this

Excellent idea for Carole and George both. Carole's voice has been my Windows startup/shutdown sounds since forever.

This is the memorial piece about Neuromancer written by nano, read by George Ledoux (Duncan Fischer).

Hearing either of these brilliant voice actors would keep me so involved in this.

I agree with both of these ideas. To round out the audio, why not also recruit Gregory Alper & Jeehun Hwang who did the music for all the MW2 games?

So just FYI, it looks like she (Carole) is positive about this!!

Her response - 'Great!'

Here's hoping the gents at Piranha notice this :)

It would be huge for us MW2 fans!

From a recent interview:

Retroplayer- Your first venture into the gaming world was in the 1995 video game Mechwarrior 2 as the narrator. What was your first impression of the videogame voice acting world?
Carole- Getting that job was a happy accident. I knew nothing about the game and I just was recording my lines by myself in the booth. I didn’t know anyone else in the cast and probably only saw images after the fact. I’d had a little experience in a recording booth but more singing than v.o. I remember, long lists of cues and being extremely focussed on maintaining tone and rhythm as, *******’ Betty, was a computer. I was also doing an American dialect. I had a blast!

Hmm, Duncan Fisher was a retired Solaris Jock in '65-'67 when MW4:mercs was set. Say he was in his early 40s as the announcer on Solaris 7 at that time. Subtract 15 years, would put him in his late 20s in '49. Someone who's been through the grinder of Solaris action and lived to tell the tale and give noobies a few pointers on how to survive on the mean streets of Cathay or Silesia. Assuming they give us the option of competing on Solaris.

Also, who did Sgt. Unther in MW2:Mercs? They should totally get him back to be our instructor for whatever tutorials they put in MW:O. I seem to recall the last he's mentioned in MW2:M is that he'd left a half dozen cadets to die in some mission gone bad. That would have been late 3030s, probably. Say he got drummed out of the Roughriders for that and now he runs a private mech school and simulator house on Outreach somewhere. :)
