While Stephan Amaris "The Usurper" is an allagory to evil I am one of the few that while understanding the need for the crushing of said usurper I am no fan of Alexander Kerensky either. Coward and deserter. Leaving the fate of the Inner Sphere to the good graces of the Great Houses just when the people needed Kerensky most. He could have served as an interim leader until the leadership of the Star League could have been reordered. but instead he choses to believe in his own mythos and fled those he had sworn to protect. Not the great houses but the innocent people across a thousand light years of space. The First Succession War makes the ji-had seem like a minor fist fight. All the wars not including the clan invasion are the results of his cowardice and dereliction of duty to the Star League and the peoples of the Star League.
