Still, I would like the MWO movie in the intro of the game.

There is a slight resemblance, bit it strikes me as a slight one at best.
There is a somewhat extended version from MWO's GDC video.
Personally, I think it sounds more similar to (an industrial rock version of) Wolfgang Gartner's "Illmerica" (particularly the segment from 0:36 to 0:50, or from 1:50 to 2:20) than to "Da Funk".
Your thoughts?

I'd say those passages are almost dead on. Good call. Either way, I'll definately pick this up as an mp3 and add it to my mk1 playlist for MW:O.
EDIT Gave both another listen - Illmerica is almost dead on but not quite. Tempo's a bit faster and the key is different which combined with the choice of intsruments, if digital can be described in that manner, makes the MW:O theme a very closely related but still noticeably different animal. Say for example, a coyote compared to a fox.
All that aside I still would love to see an extended version of the MW:O theme be made available in the future.

To be fair, I wasn't the first to notice the similarity - that distinction goes to another.
