Q. Any insight as to PC system requirements yet for MechWarrior® Online™?

A. We currently do not have final PC system specifications.


I just copied/pasted this FAQ here. I always assumed that GDC would reveal the system requirements(mabye) then but it turns out my guess on that was wrong.

Am i going to have to wait until beta starts before we get the official system requirements?

I already got my hardware picked out based on maxing out graphics for Crysis 2 since it uses the same graphics engine but it would give some peace of mind to us players who are spending loads of money to uprgrade a rig or building a new rig just for MWO.

Most of the times I see the systems requirements get nailed down on a game is like 2-4 weeks from release.

The public beta will better hone in what the min/suggested will be as well. Assuming they have some form of metrics gathering.

Yeah, unfortunately, system requirements are often one of the last things to come along. The best thing we can do is just use Crysis 2 as a rough guide.

I would agree here.

Crysis 2 Minimum requirements - For Average gameplay.
Crysis 2 Recommended Requirements + a bit - For decent gameplay

honestly can not see it being any harder on systems than crysis 2.

theres a point where you will have enough period such as 2x 7950's and up and prolly 2x gtx580 3gb's if you have those or better I am pretty sure your fine

For those wanting to see how well their rig can handle the engine and are willing to spend the cash Crysis 2 is currently 1/2 price (19.99 + tax).
