Hello all! Does anyone else remember watching the BattleTech cartoon as a child? I used to think I was crazy as no one else I have talked to remembers it, but I definately think I wasn't making up it existed!

All this Mechwarrior updates and shizzle has gotten me Jonesing for watching it again, does anyone know where one could purchase it ( or cough maybe cough download cough)? I remember the first time I seen a Mauler in that show, it changed my life!

The animated series is where I got my Battletech initiation. I believe most of the episodes are on Youtube if you want them.

Looking back, it wasn't the greatest cartoon in the world. You're not the only one with fond memories of it though - there's quite a lot of animated series fan service in most recent Battletech sourcebooks. They made Adam Steiner the Archon...

Youtube, of course *facepalm*! Thanks for that.

The series is what got me into BattleTech, then I started playing Mechwarrior 2 on our old DOS computer. I'd like to start the books as well as I've always like the universe but there is a lot of them and I wouldn't even know where to start. The series will help kill some hours though, thanks again :)

The fact you watched this as a child makes me groan with age (I saw a scene flipping channels in college!!!)

However your post has given me a nostalgia trip of epic proportions for Saturday Mornings now long since gone. Going to now see if I can find some Mighty Orbots on YouTube.

Just watched the first episode. I remember thinking that the 3d animations were out of this world when I was younger!

Watching it made me think though, I'd love to see it redone in CryEngine 3 :D anyone care to make that happen?!

I saw just about every episode, or all of them I think? Not sure ill have to go watch all of it again, but it is a good exposure to BT. My first exposure was MW3, love that game, infact i just recently found a MW2 for PC intact at a bookstore, had to buy it.

I actually have some of those action figures. Bushwacker and Hunchback IIc, and maybe several others.

Please tell me other people remember the episode where Adam Steiner and that Clanner had a fistfight inside the dance-floor-sized cockpit of a moving Thor.

Gads, that show was one of the best and worst things to happen to BT.

:D lmao I had no clue such a thing existed, thanks for the post! So odd, funny, and awesome at the same time knowing that at some point there was an animated film done for the universe.

yeah they made a "Somerset Strikers" sourcebook to complement the animated series, and chronicle Adam Steiner's taking the fight to the Clans (since the series was cut short when Malthus lifted off Somerset)

Is it bad that every time I heard Nikolai Malthus speak from his mech I kept looking for my fire control to gauss his cockpit?
