How can you say the re-imagined vindicator looks better than the old! This is the way the vindicator should look, damnit! What is wrong with you people?

I kinda like the way it looks like this mech has his pants pulled up too high. Now that's style! Character! Uniqueness!

wait, why are its legs saddle bowed, why does it have an elegant left hand, and for the love of god, why is it so boxy?! it looks like an industrial mech used to give hand jobs to the real front line models?

It is cheap to build, making curved armor plates costs more. So boxes can be built easier and faster then non-boxes.

I have often though of swapping the LRM-5 for an SRM-4 on the VND for more up close damage.

I found this FD drawing of the Vindicator so I thought I'd post it here so we can all bask in the glory of this mech. I sure hope it shows up in the game looking this good.

You made me laugh, reminding me of John Steinbeck

From Of Mice and Men
  • "Well, that glove's fulla vaseline."
    "Vaseline? What the hell for?"
Well, I tell ya what — Curley says he's keepin' that hand soft..."

I never really was a big booster of the Vindicator before, but if that's FD's concept, I sure won't be turning my nose up at it either! VERY sexy little beast!

I have hated the aesthetics of this mech for the last fifteen+ years I've been involved with battletech, right up to the moment I laid eyes on FDs concept art. I don't think FD has made an ugly mech yet... Oh wait... Dragon, not his fault though, it was hideous to begin with.

The game would be a poorer place without the Vindicator, get a lance of Vindi's into some cover and its tough work for anything less than an assault lance to shift.
I really dont understand why people turn there noses up at it so much, I for one find the "Tikonov badger" to be versatile and tough little 45 tonner.
Heres hoping it makes the game at launch.

It is the iconic Mech for the Capellan Confederation. It's small but very tough to put down.
