Pilots in Light mechs are beyond ridiculous without the collision detection and tripping mechanism. The last mechs to survive every time is a light mech now, because they can't be eliminated without a concert of focused fire, and only then after shooting at them for minutes while they play ping pong inside the circle of death.
This game's weight balance is broken until this mechanic is fixed.
Fix the collision mechanics!!!!!

I have to agree. While I think the previous mechanic had its issues, without some sort of collision light mechs are pretty ridiculous. What I'm seeing is they just spot for the LRM boats and stay alive allowing the death to rain down. Since LRM 5s hit you as hard as LRM 20s, they become impossible to target.

Really guys? Come one man. This was beaten to death on the old forums. The devs replied to is several times. They pulled it temporarily to fix it and will implement it again. I agree about the subject I just don't see why we need to start one of the hundreds of posts and threads that was answered several times before.

Go READ.
They will be put back in when they are working right. They weren't working very well and would cause a heap of problems last patch.
Give it time and stop demanding things that are already talked about.

As broken as it was it was better than this.

If they just fix the lag shield it would make this a non factor, if you depend solely on tripping a light to win you need help. Only good thing this allows you to do is so lights can't run "into" you and fire without repercussions...THAT is a huge problem.
As is make sure you have some SSRMs and pulse weapons...And LEAD the mech (yes, fire into the space right in front of them with lasers to do damage, how much sense does THAT make?).

As a light mech pilot let me be the first to tell you that us light pilots also miss the tackling aspect of the game.... that being said, if you don't want a light mech to be the last man standind LEARN TO SHOOT THEM! Light mechs die easy if you know how to shoot them. The tackle mechanics are coming back soon so learn to shoot and stop whining.
