It isnt working for me, i get an error when i gather data, i need some help here.... I plan on supporting this game with the founders pack, i would love to give some feedback to contribute in that way too. help meeeeh

Im clueless.

It blew up on one of my friends computers but it still posted the data when he pasted it so we just did not worry about it.

Looks to me like you have something totally different here.

Have you tried to run it making sure you have all other programs shut down?

Also you might try running it while booted in safe mode? even if you have to save the data to a file and then cut and paste it after reboot with internet support.

I'm just grasping at straws but its worth a try.

Have you disabled your anti-virus auto protect?

system profiler did not work for me either... I just manually typed in my system specs.
And yes i disabled my anti-virus and firewall.... still did not work.

It's clear the program uses some system API to dump the data to an XML file first and reads it from there. Attempting to read that file returns a null value - most likely because it does not actually exist on your system.
The first two things to check is that your .NET framework is up to date and you're running the program using an account with administrator privileges.

PS. I've been able to run the profiler in Windows XP (SP3) running on my ancient desktop. I'm reasonably sure that whatever's happening, it's not the profiler that's at fault - at least not directly.
PS2. This said, the application certainly was not extensively tested - the HDD statistics it produced applied solely to my system partition for some reason even though I keep it small for backup purposes and install games on a larger extended partition on the same physical HDD (Backup purposes - a small partition image is more convenient to backup and restore than a huge one, and I've had it up to there with reinstalling my OS.).

I have a slightly different problem, but maybe you can help. I manually typed in my system specifications, and my beta profile is only showing 96% complete. Thoughts?

It should be showing the fields you have not filled in yet - certainly did so for me.

It's showing the systems specification field. Do I have to use their system profiler or is manually typing it okay?

I've used the profiler and then updated several fields - that seems to have been accepted by their system.

Mine was accepted as well even though i manually entered the info... no problems... I'm at 100% and Pending....

Try it and hopefully you get accepted into the Beta.

There are several threads in the Website Support Forums regarding errors with the System Profiler program, and seperate threads for problems with the Beta Profile Questionnaire.

If you are experiencing difficulties, please find the appropriate threads in the Support Forums and that will help the webmasters get the problems taken care of more efficiently.
