No pay for the kill and if it is the last mech the game goes on till a cap win or time out. I actually lost a game I should have won because he disconnected right before the killshot and we couldn't get the bases back in time.

Maybe you're finishing people off with a single small laser and they're getting bored : /

People that dc already get no further rewards than what they've already earned.
There's no way to tell if someone is "ejecting" or if it's a legitimate DC. Just allow dc deaths to give cbills and xp. Then you can't really complain about them.

Or...
Implement the ability to rejoin the match after a DC. and...
A person DC's. (alt-f4, or CTD, w/e). Server recognizes that the connection is disconnected from the mech. The server keeps the mech active (able to be killed and grant awards to the killers). However, he's still treated as a DC and even if the team wins or loses he won't get any other awards (as it is currently). If after the one minute window is up and there is no re-connect, the server either destroys the mech and gives the message "JoeBlow has disconnected..". If there is a successful re-connect back to the active mech, the message is given "Joeblow has reconnected" (or no message at all)

We're talking about reconnecting to a game after you legitimately disconnect (DC) from something like the game crashing or an internet hiccup. Not respawns.

Saw a classic of it in a Streakcat pilot last night. These people usually play cheesy builds, get lots of kills, but seek to deny others the right to say they got a kill against them.
In essence, they may not get anything out of it, but they spoil things for the other pilot who did some hard work for a kill.

If I did this stuff, I'd allow any normal fighter who isn't a cheesy online douche to get the kill they deserve.
If I did this.

I'd like that too, however, it would probably be about 1% benefit, and 99% frustration. You'll usually reconnect into an already cored mech, so there's no point.
