Tonight on my CGI, I came across my WarHammer twice the size of my Madcat in a MechBay. Then I running around on the net searching for mech scale, mech size, mech height, battletech... etc..etc. I just can not find info on mech sizes for 3 hours searching, even on MWO site. I seen them when not searching, now looking I am unable to find. Anyone have info of mech heights, sizes, even a Madcat beside a Warhammer? Please...

Furthermore, I came across my mind while playing MWO, the scale of cockpits. Imagine a Madcat cockpit with pilot. Now can the same size pilot fit in a Jenner? In the Jenner. The cockpit would be pretty small. Then all cockpits for all mechs compared to others. Some do not fit. Think about it.

Devs had both the cockpit and mech sizes in mind when creating mechs. If you haven't already, I would suggest you read their blog about the creation of a mech (centered on the Catapult). http://penny-arcade....ricate-birth-of

Wow..the Cat pilot has a living room (nearly) compared to the Jenner. We all who make Mech Meshes have to be carefull.

I don’t think when fasa made CBT or RalPartha the first company that made the miniatures had any scale in mind. That is why my 35 tone Stiletto miniature is bigger than my classic 70 tone Warhammer miniature and my 95 tone Sagittaire is bigger than my 100 tone Dire Wolf. I do wish they had scale in mind when they made the miniatures. I like the idea of using N scale. You can find a lot of buildings and other vehicles for some awesome dioramas in N scale.

Also may be why many artist have some trouble getting mechs to look to scale to one another in games and such.

Warhammer should be smaller (It's actually lighter than the Mad Cat).

In TT, the mechs are basically of the same hight. Of course, lighter mechs are much more skinny and heavy ones are more chunky.

They need to tweak the sizes in MWO. It bugs me that the Dragon is the same width as the Atlas and almost as tall. The Atlas is taller by a head.. that's not much for an extra 40 tons. Some heavy head. The Dragon is also the same size as an Awesome, a mech 20 tons heavier.

The other mechs look pretty much right.
