I agree, the only Developers in my experience who interact with the community as much and as well as PGI would be Kerberos- Great work PGI.

I've been lurking 'round here for a while, I believe this is my first post. Just want to add my 'thanks' and say that I'm very much looking forward to this game.
Keep up the good work, I'll buy a few redonkulous color schemes on release =P

Something that hasn’t been fully acknowledged is that our PGI devs actually read our posts, engage with the community, and provide feedback at a level I've never seen before by any game devs. To them I want to say Thank You! I hope we haven’t been too much of a unruly bunch.
To the rest of the community, Enjoy it while you can! Because not long after launch of this F2P game the support pages open up and these forums will be challenged with a lot more flame threads and problem users. I’m sure Garth and the community mods will keep a tight ship here but the level of open and personal contact with the devs will no doubt not be the same.
So thanks, guys, for what you do. It’s beyond the call.

Add me to the list of people who are amazed and greatfull for everything the PGI team are doing on MWO
As i wait for this i am currently playing LOTRO and the warden forums there have a designer (just the 1) who hangs outf with us and even trolls the other classes and as a class we feel like a comunity.
The devs/mods/paul here are an order of magnitude better than him and have this feeling across the entire game. The little sneek peaks we get & pauls trolls are keeping all of us rabid for more.
If we get this thread to ten pages can we have some screenies of friday play plz
And guys take the moaning whining and niutpicking with a pinch of salt we like you are real fans and want the game to be as perfect as you seem to be making it

I think it's pretty obvious that the devs on this game are doing it right. I have seen multiple instances when forum members (can't really say players yet, now can we?) have brought up some aspect of the game and after bantering back and forth for a page and a half of posts, a dev will roll in and say, "We've thought of that. It's not going to be an issue, and here's how we're doing it."
They consistently prove that they have been thoughtful about the entire process and are coming at it like fans of MW who just also happen to be making the game.
I've got nothing but love for this crew and I hope they know how great they've already been doing.

This guy, is the kind of scout I want on my side. lol
The idea of Mechs overheating to explosion worries me. It smacks of poor design. Most complex machines with a computer control have a built in self preservation ethic. The idea I can make a fusion reactor explode by leaning on the fire button is a little sloppy.
The time the Devs. and co. spend with their customers/fans is most impressive. Heck if they sent a little less time with us and more on the actual work of getting the product out, we may be playing right now instead of talking about it. J/K.

The honor is mine, Metro. Like so many others have said, all you guys have worked hard to make this game a reality and the mods work hard to keep the forums constructive, positive, and on track. The communication between devs and community has been like nothing Ive ever seen before. In most cases, the devs never interact with the fans at a level anywhere close to this because of the whining or outright indignation from unappreciative players. It's been a remarkable experience that I think is only possible with a mature community, open minded devs, and moderators keeping the forums solid. So yeah, for all the mods too. Thanks, guys.

I'd just like to chime in as well and say thank you to all the Dev's and Moderators here! It puts a smile on my face everyday when I start reading through a couple threads and see the level of interaction going on around here.
There is a failsafe, the mech will attempt to protect itself by shutting down. It's just that the pilot can override it if he's "feeling lucky", which is my guess as to what happened to that poor fella. Personally, I really like the idea of heat being such a big detrement, considering that the previous games didn't have enough of a penalty to make heat matter as much as it should (my opinion, of course! Feel free to disagree).
Ammendum: Thanks to all you forum posters as well for not giving the devs too hard a time and scaring them away! I'd probably start crying in a corner if that ever happened...

Thanks again, devs. You've really made this game extra-special by reading our idea diarrhea.
As if a new MW game wasn't special enough in itself
