Hi peeps
I remember reading ages ago that someone was on about releasing the old mechwarrior games for free. I was wondering if this were true?
The reason I'm asking is because I want to know if copyright holders are planning on some kind of resurection of the old games and the multiplayer leagues etc? I still have all my old copies and if the players are going to be downloading the old games, I'll gladly reinstall MW4 for a blast and maybe even do the campaigns again.
So is there going ot be some kind of revival with tables, leagues, clans and maybe user content?

I don't know about the others, but Mektek currently has a release of MW4 that you can download from their website (Necessary disclaimer: PGI/IGP is not responsible for anything you download from there).

Ah, thanks. I thought I was right.
I'll go over and have a read up. I have MW4 and the others but can't seem to lay my hands on the paks though (inner and clan). I loved these games and wouldn't mind seeing them embraced by the community again.

The packs are included with the mektek version of MW4 so you should be happy...
You have to edit your registry if you do not see any servers (still a few ppl playing), look on mektek forum...

Not Mechwarrior, but Mechcommander was also made free, I think. Or its source code, or something. Worth a try.
