I dont see to many team killers, but the suicide farmers still continue.

Harsher measures must be taken.

Look up Dota 2's punishment system. If a player receives numerous reports, they get thrown into a low priority queue, which matches them up only with other low priority players. While in this queue, players cannot receive any rewards, and the trolls are forced to play with their own kind. The penalties length greatly increases with each offense, so its 24 hr, 72 hr, then starts going into week long sentences. Those of us who have played Dota2 will know that there is no feeling better than logging in and getting the message "we have recently taken action against a player you have reported. Thank you for helping clean up the community!"

For MWO, the system would be similar: lower priority matchmaking where the Cbill earnings is reduced by 60%. This will definitely make users think twice about griefing or trolling.

Only need one thing for FF kill punishments and that is a Block system that means you will never be teamed up with that person again. Don't matter if they end up on the other team as that is a good thing lol. But hell you could stop that as well as that means the end up with a 30min wait time on games.
All this bounties and commander lock down leads to just as much problems as the player that shots the backs of friends.

With the Block system that would be simple "hell Rift online had it" it works not just for Team killing but afk farmers and Suicide farmers as well.

No....a MILLION times no.... If MWO ever gets a tribunal system like LOL, where the players are expected to police each other, it would be the fastest way to erase any income from me, ever.

I have been openly attacked at the start of the match a couples times this week. I am not sure if it was on purpose or not.
These incidents both ended the same way. With that guy dead.

My favourite part of it is that after the guy is dead he cries that he got TKed. Sadly there is no way to say who shot first and there for it comes done to a he said she said type of story.

The simplest way to implement something is to just let players on a team vote to kick a player. Make it a 6 or more vote (in an 8 man group anyhow) Poof, TKers and griefers gone although it still leaves you a man down in game

I Suggested this back in CB:

1. IF friendly fire occures within the first 30 seconds of a match, the attacker loses 25% of the matches total income and XP. His status if you moseover him switches from blue to yellow. If he fires again, he switches to orange and loses 50% of everything, you can attack him without loss for yourself.
=> against TK and people who are to stupid to aim the ground when they test their weapons.

2. IF frendly fire occures during later time they get flagged yellow, you do NOT lose money the first time. But if they hit you again within 30 seconds the second time is -50% total income and getting flagged orange (like above)
=> Maybe trying to shoot enemies but someone walked in or something like that.

3. For heavy infighting with other people not able to stay out of your firing arc and accidents... if you hit someone but he was already shot by enemies within the last 30 seconds, you get switched to yellow without loss, but only with a 15 seconds timer. If you hit that person again, -50% reward. Multiple timers are yellow (switch target enemy after first FF, and a jenner walked right into you your salvo).

Fire within one or two seconds is considered one salvo and not punished as multiple shots. IF fire returns
Yellow hereby is only on mouseover visible and of course on the map, but you cant lock the people yet. The timer is when yellow is reset to normal (or upgraded to orange, when commencing friendly fire again)

Helpful would also be the option to kick orange flagged players from the game with 2/3 of the active players voting to kick... maybe a little panel in the map could hold the list for this?

If you are red in more then 2 successive games or more then 3 games in an hour, first time you get a warning message, second time a automated ticket for the name should be opend, and third time the person is timebanned for 2 hours (should be enough for trolls to find another scumbag activity)

maybe with an actual kill but there's FAR too many light pilots that like to circle tight and walk right in my line of fire. or people jsut not paying attention on the other side of that. 30 seconds is a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time in a firefight

Brilliant! I agree. This plus a ELO ranking system to help players compete vs others of equal skill level.

I like the killswitch idea, but that's easily vulnerable to abuse.

so where do we report team killers ?...

support@mwomercs.com

Informations you should send:
- Name of the victim
- Name(s) of the offender(s)
- Names of witnesses
- Map
- Date/Time (including time zone)
- Screenshots (if possible with complete Textchat before, during and after the TK)

You can report with less information, but it will make it easier for PGI to act, the more information they get.

I was deliberatly team killed this morning, one shot in the back. The only remaining enemy mech was camping at his own base.

I'm sorry if this was said earlier I can't read everything. We need a new stat that should go up with Kills and Assist, 'TEAM KILLS'. The game engine already recognizes the user that killed you. No hard feelings, they should just have to pay ALL of your repair bills for the match.

Also it's tracked throughout your career. Accidental team killers, it happens, will have a very low career stat, others will not.
