Not at all. This was covered in another topic. No rear mounted weapons/nofire into back arc.

back armor is tissue paper, mounting weapons back there would just encourage people to try to face the back to use them, thus getting them killed.

the reason mechs have no rear armor is so you keep facing your target trying to win the fight, rather then trying to run away!
