Just a suggestion, when you have a ton of locked threads on your forums, it looks like you have a rowdy fan based or an oppressive dev regime, neither of which is true in MWO.

I know its tedious, but telling new guys "we've discussed this to death" and then locking a thread about a topic that we have in fact discussed to death doesn't help the new guy at all, he wasn't there when it was discussed to death.

Just merge their thread with the thread you are thinking of instead. You took the time to lock it and comment on why, might as well merge or link it at that point.

Then they can read the massive thread you think they should read, and they don't feel like their passionate interest is deflated instantly upon touching the community.

Just a thought I had as I looked at all the padlocks in general and suggestions.
