Our Origins:
We are a random collection of people, from all skill levels, who want a more hands on, cut the c*ap experience with Mechwarrior Online. We do not want to deal
with the bureaucracy many units end up becoming, and even sometimes becoming more religious than anything. What happened to just playing the game with people and
focusing on the game? As our name implies we are different than others, people who have skill and can contend with the best, but do not have a home, due to different
views, refusal to play the meta, or any other amount of reasons. We are the home of people who have been exiled from other units, and have open arms for anyone who
refuses the zerg-like guilds, who recruit for a quota and work on quantity over quality, or the fervent actions of a zealot-like unit who use the ranking system as some
religious hierarchy. We work and act much like Clan Wolf in Exile in this regard, we are a unit that is simply put, tired of tight thin governments that some units become
sometimes due to social pressure, etc. We want to act without having a thousand hours of time between thought and actions. We are a unit filled with Exiles, governed by Exiles.
Our Ranking/Organization:
A clear cut democracy. There are three ranks in our establishment, Founder/Co-founder(I.e. Renner and I), Member, and Associate. Founder and Member are literally the same,
other than the name. We mainly have this tag because the game requires us to have a unit leader/secondary leader etc for forming a unit/comp team. Other than that, we function
just like members. We hold as much power as a member does. A member is treated like a citizen, much like a government, and respected as such.(We are all human beings after all)
Everyone "In Exile" is equal, and will be treated as such. Decisions will be voted on, like a democracy. We take suggestions from everyone, and we do not dis-regard the opinions
of others due to ranking, or because of seniority in the game. We are like a machine, you are part of us, and you are part of the unit. In "TheExiles" we are all equals.
You will have the same amount of permissions as everybody else, no matter what your experience in the game is. Its simply just equality across the board....Although one
permission that we do not share with the others is Disbanding the unit....this is mainly a way to combat trolls and rats, etc who would come in and disband the unit out
of pure hatred and etc. When it comes to discipline, its a innocent until proven guilty mentality. You have your permissions to do anything until they are stripped away
due to a misdemeanor or abuse of your privileges(CHECK YA PRIVILAGE)<----Refrence to Snuggles....god I am so sorry you guys had to witness that.
Our Experience and Background:
Renner and I, have had a long history, with Renner's being longer than mine. We have stuck together, through thick and thin, through dictatorships and bureaucratical governments.
We finally decided, to live our dreams and create a unit, devoid of the common trappings other units fall under. We are not superiors, we are bretheren working for a common goal.
That common goal being to have fun and to try hard to do well in the game. Renner and I do not care for victory, as we care for a close fight, a pro-longed engagement, a fight
that makes your heart pump. Not the pug stomps larger groups tend to do, due to superior numbers, and not because of skill "cough"a certain assortment of numbers"cough".
We want to have a community that isnt a relgious hierarchy. We do not want a Pope or a God(although we do not care of your religion, this is just for example more than anything).
We want a group of individuals with their own goals and ideals, fighting for a common cause, not cannon fodder for the more experienced players to use as shields to boost their own
scores, "cough"a certain assortment of letters"cough".
Our Rules:
Respect Others equalities and freedoms. This is the foundation all other rules have, so this is the only one you need to use and remember. As long as your action does
not affect another member directly or in-directly, its usually fine. We dont want a giant rulebook, we will throw the book at someone when we need to, but we would rather
not to. Communicate. Talk to us. Dont hold in grievences or ideas, even if you think you should keep them in. We have had many problems before in past units where people would
not communicate, and this leads to a lot of Renner's and I's problems.
Who do we want?:
People who want to improve, and not potato and push buttons. We are here for the good fight. Not for pugging. We are here to put the "group" back in Group Play.
People who want a home, but do not want to fill out a form that stretches for miles for no reason, for no reason other than as a barrier of entry.
People who want to feel a part of something without losing their individuality.
People who want to fight for the good fight, letting actions happen after the thoughts that concieved them, not as people die, while waiting for a decisions by a higher up.
People who want a group that does not stand by as they get hammered by gunfire, but stand right next to them and walk into hell with them, and come out alive.
People who want to do well, but get away from the elitism trash that hampers this game's Esport scene.
Our Requirements:
For now, only Discord. We love Discord, because it allows us to communicate with people outside of the game, without having to use a website or some other form of un-necessary
3rd party website. We require no funding (THANK GOD DISCORD WE LOVE YOU GUYS WHO MADE IT PROPS OUT TO THEM). If you use TS etc, we will have a TS soon, but it will only be for
recruiting, if you want to join, Discord is highly recommended. Also, Discord can be used IN THE BROWSER, so you do not have to download a program if you do not wish, so
if you want to give it a try go ahead. I would post a link but I do not know the rules about links here etc, so I put trust you people reading this are smart individuals who
know how to use the internet. My name in Discord is SpectreTheWizard#3602, just friend invite me and I will get to you in a timely manner, or reply in the forum post your
discord name if you do not mind the breach of privacy, and I will get to you if I can. Then we can hop on and test you out, and if you fit, and you feel like it, you can join.
