Hello Mechwarriors!

This Thursday the 11th, at 2PM PDT, Paul Inouye will be hosting an AMAA (Ask Me Almost Anything) about MWO on Reddit. It's open to all, so get your questions ready! We'll post the direct link to it shortly before the event, but get ready to join in! We look forward to answering you.

Only Paul could defend himself against the hordes of 10 year olds who bought a founders pack only expecting a finished game and now are irrationally pissed. I personally am happy with the direction things are going, and if i do tune in ill be sure to offer some constructive criticism as well as compliments and questions.

in r/AMA or r/MWO or r/gaming?

Personally I'd post it in r/mwo and x-post it to AMA, games, and gaming.

Is Open Beta being rushed or would you like the game to fail?

Here's one you're going to hear a lot over the evening: "WTF are you people thinking?"

Easy kids, pump your brakes. Just getting that opening salvo out there...like they weren't expecting it.

LoL,

Don't worry Paul, not everyone there will be bringing pitchforks. :)

But what do you mean by 'almost'? I expect my every question to be answered!

LoL. Ok. I guess 10 years olds can afford to cough up $120 for a video game. Founders are probably more like 40 years old who played BattleTech in the 80s, but whatever.

Ten-year olds have already lost interest in this game and two others by the time you finish reading this.

Paul, I don't know how well you know reddit AMA's, but I just wanted to give you some advice. Make sure you leave a lot of the PR speak at home. This isn't going to be some gaming journalist throwing you softballs, nor is it going to be a bunch of people dazzled by buzz words.

The key to a successful AMA is to treat the community like adults and with respect. If they feel like you're jerking them around giving non-answers from your marketing department, they're going to call you on it and the whole thing will backfire on you. Especially if you just answer a few easy softball questions and call it a night.

Anyway, I'm not writing this to scare you. I'm doing it because I want you to knock it out of the park and get more people interested in this fantastic series.

Just be yourself, have fun, and all will be well.
