Currently in the game there is only 1 chain fire mode, Normal. You hit backspace on a weapon group and it will fire your weapons 1 at a time, after the first weapon is done firing it will fire the second, and so on.

I suggest putting in a 2nd chain fire mode, FAST. Pressing backspace once will turn chain fire on normal mode, pressing backspace again will turn chain fire on fast mode. Pressing backspace again will turn off chain fire.

On Fast mode, chain fire will fire each weapon in the group in quick succession, not waiting for the previous weapon to end it's fire before firing the next. This allows people who are chain firing multiple auto-cannons to be able to fire them quickly in succession instead of having to assign each cannon (or laser/whatever) to a different firegroup button.

I'm not sure what you're asking for here. Chain fire does fire each weapon straight after the previous weapon fired.
If you have enough weapons that after the last has fired the first has completed its recycle then you can fire non-stop.

Uh if you rapidly tap the button on a chain fire group....It fires them all faster. Of course some will be stuck on cool down when you complete the chain, so you won't be able to sustain that fast chain fire long....but there is already fast chain fire in the game.
