Someone posted a thread here about doing a new mechcommander 2 and or mod to it and redoing the entire game.
I was reading it and wanted to reply so logged in and than lost the page.
I have not been able to find the thread via search or randomly looking through all the forums.
Can someone please shoot a link here to the thread or PM me the link.
Thanks !

I believe you are looking for
http://www.moddb.com...mander-omnitech
It's a standalone installer (setup is about 400mb, once installed it's roughly a gig I believe) that includes the base game since microsoft released it for free, do note though that video and multiplayer does not work in the free versions until someone makes a mod to add them back in (both components used 3rd party stuff, so microsoft couldn't legally release it). Also if you want to play the original Carver V campaign you'll need to download that separately from the same page, when it's downloaded place the campaign EXE in the same root of the game directory and launch it from in there.
