Hi,
I have a Commando 2D, and I changed some stuff around until I had an SRM 4, an SRM 6, and a medium laser on it. I put some SRM ammo on, but the SRM's still don't fire, and I have no idea why.
Please help?

Did you not put them into a weapon group? By default since the last patch, any new weapons you add are ungrouped.

Also double check you didn't purchase Streak SRM ammo, other then new weapons not being automatically grouped, I'm not aware of any other problems.

I have the right ammo, but I did not assign weapon groups. How do I do that?

right control key and arrow keys... Arrows to move row/colum..Control to select/deselect the weapon in the weapon group.
