Rather than the way they function now in beta (They have a slightly faster recycle time and shorter beam duration) pulse lasers should function more like this:
Rather than firing a burst beam that lasts about a second, the pulse laser shoots a very short duration beam that lasts only about 0.1 seconds, and does very little damage (a MPL beam 1/4 damage of a ML beam) but have a rapid recycle time akin to that of the MW4 pulse laser, that you can fire at a constant rate, and does more DPS than the standard laser, but starts to build up alot more heat after constantly firing it.
This would make pulse lasers function different enough from a standard laser that it could be considered a seperate weapon, it would also make them funner to use and possibly more effective against lights than standard lasers, while being less useful against heavier mechs.
