Crescent hawks inception was released in 1988, and the poster came in the boxed set.

Crescent hawks revenge was released in 1990

And it had the vehicle recognition poster.

Im lucky enough to have boxed sets of both complete with posters, but finding a set these days might be difficult

I have the original 3050 "The Clans are Coming" hobby shop poster that shows a Ghost Bear Timber Wolf, and an Elemental with most of its helmet shot away. Too big for my scanner, I'm afraid or I'd post it here.

That sounds really cool, especially fitting for MWO too, would love to see it.

Nice posters!

Makes me want to get out my Hunchback IIC and Bushwacker toys from the Battletech cartoon era. I still have the packaging...somewhere.

Yes! That first one exactly! I got the caption mixed between the two posters. A friend of mine has the other one

I'm not sure if it shows my age or just how 'Hard-Core' I am about the Mechwarrior setting, but I remember when each of these were brand new (and yes I have my mint condition first printing of Mechwarrior and Battletech locked safe and sound lol)

I couldn't find a better place to put this than here, except it's not a poster. These were postcards I got back in the 90s. I bought a few before leaving the Virtual World center where my friend and I spent a couple hours playing.

That Mad Dog is piloted by one of Jade Falcons and AFAIK, they were never much into Zell. ;)

First legging is perfectly fine in Zell. It is slightly 'underhanded' as it removes the pilot quickly from the fight, but on the other hand it is a quick 'kill' with little damage to yourself or the opposing Mech. Clans like little waste.

Adridos, Jade Falcons almost stupidly follow Zell. CJF is considered one of the more traditionalist Clans.

Oh, my opinion was just based on one walkthrough of MW 2, where after getting swarmed, the author said: "We just started fighting and they are already breaking Zellbringen. Typical JF/Wolf" and because those Clans fight amongst themselves, I really sticked with the idea they would rather do things differently if it helps them to win. :)

I never was much into Clan lore, anyway. ;)

The Refusal War got real ugly real quick. For every one who thought that the War of the Reavings was a surprise, they where not paying attention to the Refusal War. Honor and glory suddenly becomes less important when everything else is on the line.

On another note, the main character in The Jade Phoenix Trilogy broke zell early in a Trial of Blood Right because he thought his chances where better in a Grand Melee.. he was wrong.

Yeah, those betrayals are a b!tch. Aidan would have succeeded and gotten higher rank except that his own sibkin unexpectedly took him out with a missile strike to the cockpit. Typical novel liberties were taken, as the missiles would not have been enough to penetrate the cockpit and cause an auto-ejection according to the TT rules. But it made for a more interesting story, so...

It is possible with TT rules. Just an unlikely succession of 12s would do it. Martha used loaded dice.

It's happened to me (by a Vulture, oddly enough, A-config.). Pilot killed by head hits before the armour was breached.

Anyway, I posted this in the Open Recruiting Thread, but I thought I'd share it here too. :D
